We stayed here for three nights and although I can't pin point any major faults with the hotel or its service but I wasn't really impressed by much . The rooms are small and the decore is unremarkable and a bit soulless. On the plus side, the service was good and friendly, we enjoyed the breakfast and the gym next... More

We loved this place. The location, staff, design, restaurant, rooms, bed, bathrooms and ceiling heights are wonderful. It is considered (we are told) to be one of the 2 best hotels there, along with the Grand Hotel next door. This is more boutique and modern with lots of fun art. Highly recommended!

Spacious bedroom and en suite (room 512). Decor throughout is gorgeous, with each floor seemingly having its own lounge, one with a balcony. All the staff we met from receptionists, breakfast, dinner and bedroom maids were all first class. Enjoyed the food and the environment in the dining room although music on a Friday and Saturday not to my taste.... More

The Lydmar is a boutique hotel centrally located on the waterfront and near the old city tourist attraction of Gamla Stan. We enjoyed our stay there the rooms are comfortable and the dining room superb with delicious breakfasts to start the day. Staff were most helpful. We would thoroughly recommend!

Well Lydmar wasn't my first choice. Earlier we had booked 3 rooms in Hotel Grand but they were not giving us breakfast with the room. But at more or less same price we were getting breakfast included in Lydmar and location of both hotels is same so we moved to Lydmar. So we had 3 rooms on 2nd floor for... More

The Lydmar was fantastic - the central location made it easy to walk everywhere and the staff were consistently helpful and pleasant. The decor was wonderful - it felt as if we were in someone's home who had great, eclectic taste. The breakfast was very good (and Thera was so welcoming and gave us excellent touring advice) and restaurant recommendations... More

Dear dtotravel What a great review! We could not have described Lydmar better ourselves. We do of course work very hard to meet expectations and to make everyone feel right at home. Thera is a great asset to Lydmar and we love her dearly. We are looking forward to your next stay. Kind Regards Sebastian Anlert Hotel Manager More

Excellent hotel in the heart of Stockholm. All rooms are different in size and decor -- you better check with them before arrival if you have any preferences. Rooms are clean and well furnished. All staff members are extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet is great!

A higher-end hotel in a wonderful location. Breakfast is all that you could ask for in a lovely setting. Our room was on the top (4th floor), but the windows were quite high and you certainly could not access the view without going up to the window to look out. Even then, trees were in the way. However, the rooms... More

We had two rooms, one was number 304, and since the first day there was a really bad smell of fish. The fact is that as soon as I told the reception my problem, they weren't surprised at all, they knew it but they gave us the room anyway. They changed our room into another one, one floor above, that... More

Dear Alessio C Thank you for your feedback. We are aware of the situation and the room has been set out of order. You are of course absolutely correct you should never been given them room and I truly apologize for that. Housekeeping thought a good airing of the room should have sufficed but as you noticed it did not.... More
