I have been nothing but frustrated with my stay. Checking in was a challenge because the receptionist didn't speak much English. (I understand this isn't the national language, but everyone in Sweden speaks English and to work at a hostel I would think that would of be a prerequisite.) The rooms are tiny and facilities are limited. The lockers in...

I was only for one night in this hostel in november, but I was pleased. Romm was good, comfortable bed, kitchen where you can cook your meal and clean bathroom and toilet. It has everything you need. My stay was nice mostly because it was full of people with different nationalities and we had really fun and great night all together. It...

I stayed there with two friends of mine and we were happy with this hostel. The location of the hostel isn't direct in the centrum but very good reachable with the metro where you just have to walk around 5 minutes to the station. The kitchen is good furnished and the dining room is also very nice! The showers and...

We did not get off to the best start here as we didn't realise that the hotel does not have a 24 hour front desk. The duty manager had had to wait nealy an hour for us to arrive and he wasn't very happy about it. [{There is nothing on the website to this effect and this should be posted...

Well we stayed in Stockholm for a week which means we stayed at the hostel for a week. At the beginning we got a room with no windows which looked like a storage room converted in to a hostel room. After we complained we did get a much better room with two roof windows. The beds are way too soft...

The whole location was very clean and the kitchen well equipped with a large number of pots, plates, bowls, pans and utensils. There were also enough showers, so that people didn't have to line up in the morning. The only problem was the poor wifi reception in the dorms.

This hostel is very nice, with a large number of bedrooms (between 2 and 6 people), quite clean and really close to the Tunnelbana (Metro). You'll have a good kitchen and a nice common room too. It's in the middle of the city, so you could take a walk anywhere from there. Cheap, cozy and good located. Just perfect!

Our experience was somewhat affected by the fact that our Lonely Planet guidebook had this property listed in Gamla Stan, which it most decidedly is not. So, before you come, double check the address and make sure you are going to the right place - otherwise you will end up like us dragging you luggage all over the city and...

Hostel is clean and well maintained. Very typical of Scandinavia they charge for renting out bed linen. The oddest part was the fact that the reception is open only during certain hours and you have no one to go to for help on other times. You communicate weirdly via emails with different set of people on how to get your...

Staying in Vasastan

Neighbourhood Profile
Vasastan is one of those neighborhoods that almost looks too good to be true. It has the winning combination of a central location, tranquility, and beautiful buildings – housing sophisticated bars and eateries – that makes this neighborhood Stockholm’s most sought-after place to live. If walking through this area makes you feel like walking through a fairy tale or picture book it’s no surprise, as it’s actually the film set of the famous Swedish children story Karlsson-on-the-Roof. No matter what season, Vasastan manages to impress in the sunshine, covered in snow and won’t even lose its charm when soaked in rain.
