Clean and surprisingly light. The concept is brilliant. If it wasn't for the fact that these low prices attract young people who believe life is best experienced loud and lively around the clock in the common lounge just outside where bedrooms are situated. So if your room is closed to that commotion, you might wake up at 04:00. In my...

Be aware this is a 'cabin style' hotel similar to those you find at airports but close to the middle of Stockholm. So no window and a room with a decent lower bed and a bunk style upper bed where the beds take up half the room. Central and spotless washing facilities are down the corridor. There is a perfectly...

For sure it is micro, and you should be aware of that - room was 2x3m. Showers and toilets are shared, but clean and quite good. Price is high, but for Sweden standards it is low. It is 3min. walk from main shopping street, and about 10 min. from Bus Terminal, 15 min. from old town.

What a surprise on arrival. For a basement Hotel how bright and absolutely spotless. I was just a bit wary about a shared bathroom (is how they describe it) however the showers are spacious and plentiful with plenty of wash areas and hair dryers and more importantly, absolutely spotless! The bunk type rooms are similar to ferry cabins and quite...

For such a low price, Hotel Micro was a pleasant surprise. Me and two friends were in a triple room - with a bunk single bed above a double - and I was initially worried about whether I'd fit in the bed lengthways as the photo made it look quite small (at 6ft4in my height can be an issue!). The...

We stayed at Hotel Micro for 2 nights in June 2013. Liked: Good location near city center and Stockholm train station. The shared bathrooms (separated for males and females) were nicely set up - very spacious with many sinks, toilets and private showers. The bathroom was also very clean. The rooms were modern and clean. Disliked: I expected a small...

Micro is fine - the rooms are clean and brightly painted. The (shared) bathrooms are big and showers hot. In a 3 person room, there is room for a bunk with single on top and nothing else. As advertised there are no windows, so if you constantly need fresh air, this is not the place for you. The location is...

I went for a weekend to Stockholm and needed a place to sleep. This hotel is perfect for that. Very good location, clean and cheap compare the prices in Stockholm. However if you need a room/stay more than sleep and shower don't pick this hotel. ( Hostel ) Very small and shared bathroom. Nice clean and very comfy bed though...

Cheap, uncompromising, convenient and clean - sufficient for a couple or friends travelling - situated near one of Stockholm's hotspots. Bathrooms and toilets are kept very clean, and is located near many restaurants and a train station. Great value for money!

Micro is the basement floor of the Tegnerlunden hotel. Rooms are really "micro" so an American couple with two huge suitcases each would have problems. However, the rooms have the essential that you need for staying the night and they are new and fresh. For sharing the bathroom there was no capacity problems during the period I stayed there and...

Staying in Vasastan

Neighbourhood Profile
Vasastan
Vasastan is one of those neighborhoods that almost looks too good to be true. It has the winning combination of a central location, tranquility, and beautiful buildings – housing sophisticated bars and eateries – that makes this neighborhood Stockholm’s most sought-after place to live. If walking through this area makes you feel like walking through a fairy tale or picture book it’s no surprise, as it’s actually the film set of the famous Swedish children story Karlsson-on-the-Roof. No matter what season, Vasastan manages to impress in the sunshine, covered in snow and won’t even lose its charm when soaked in rain.

“The doors are quiet heavy to open and then close quickly so I would recommend asking for a room away from the showers/toilets which is also near the entrance so that those doors don't annoy you”
