We stayed for 2 nights while visiting Stockholm. The hostel is very comfortable and clean. It's not central but it's only 2 stops away by metro. The area around the hostel is vibrant and there is plenty to do. It's very reasonably priced and includes a variety of foods for breakfast. I would definitely stay here again.

We stopped for 5 nights in this hostel. It was one of the cheaper places to stay. The room was big, clean, towels provided which was good. As there was no window, it was pitch black when all the lights were turned off (great to get to sleep to!) The continental breakfast was good and included in the price. We...

After going through series of reviews on this place decided to book this hostel. We stayed there for 3 days from June 25-28 and it was quite satisfactory. We had booked room with attached bathroom and therefore we have not experienced any kind of inconvenience what some reviewers had faced in the past. The receptionist welcomed us in polite manner...

I was in Stockholm by myself for two days, so was happy to find a hostel that rents single person rooms instead of having to pay the full cost of a double room or stay in a dorm. I was there over a weekend in the middle of June and it was fairly quiet. Most people kept to themselves, tended...

We stayed 3 nights at the Mosebacke Hostel which is conveniently located near shops and restaurants. The room was tiny and had no window but it did have a private bathroom (which is highly recommended). Considering that hotel rooms in Stockholm are quite expensive, it was a pretty decent value. It was quite noisy each night until around 11 pm....

We found the hostel easily, great location, very central. The room itself was pretty basic with small circular skylights in the ceiling (the only "window"). As read on other reviews, this was expected and we didn't really mind. However, this did mean that it never really got dark until very late. The breakfast was standard but served it's purpose. There...

Small rooms without window. When they say "towels provided" it means one 35cm*35cm towel per person. Breakfast is good. Bathroom is an open space : everybody can see you take your shower. Furthermore, it is not that clean and the guys taking care of the réception are antipatic.

Just returned from a 2 night stay in Stockholm and was a little concerned regarding reviews but I can honestly say that I did not find a thing to grumble about. My husband and I had a double room with shower and w.c which although the room was small it was adequate for a short stay.It did not have a...

The location was good. It is some bit of walk from the central station, but there is also a metro you can take if you don't want to walk. Staff were not very friendly - but we get answers atleast, if not a smile. Breakfast options were alright. What irritated me was that the walls of the rooms are so...

Good position, breakfast, price, free internet and computer for guests. Bathroom and shower in room. But.... the room appear clean but if you watch carefully you can see a lot of dust under the beds and mainly, the bed linens are clean, but under, mattresses, pillows and blankets are dirty and with strange spots. Pillows are too soft. Not good...

Staying in Slussen

Neighbourhood Profile
Slussen
A unique mix of grotesque 1960s concrete urban vision and cosy historical Swedish brick houses, Slussen has become one of Stockholm’s most architecturally edgy and controversial neighborhoods. Plans to rebuild the area have been on the agenda for decades, however, so far no agreement could be reached, which is the reason for the continuing decay of its brutalist substance. Nevertheless, the museums and the main shopping street, Götgatan, attract both locals and tourists with Sweden’s most fashion-forward clothing retailers, hipster coffee shops and restaurants. Once the lights are out, the area turns into a bustling nightlife haven, catering to all preferences, from posh hotel bars to sweaty underground nightclubs. There is no better place to experience the clash between old and new Sweden.
