We stayed in one of the apartments not in the hotel proper. The apartment itself was wonderful. Full of charm but with every modern necessity. The only thing that I could fault was the attitude of the check in staff. They were efficient but doing...More

The Lady Hamilton is staffed with a friendly reception area, a breakfast that was great every day for a week, and a walkable, convenient location. The room was quite small. There is a very interesting private sauna available, too.
The hotel is in the heart of Gamla Stan (the medieval section of Stockholm) and is absolutely charming and loaded with antiques. Breakfast was included and very good. There were two places to eat: the main dining room and a very nice courtyard. Service was...More

Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s historic old town and home to the Swedish Royal Palace. It’s the most central island of Stockholm and accompanied by the small island of Riddarholmen, mainly known for its famous Riddarholm Church. Gamla Stan tends to be a bit touristy at times but is definitely worth visiting: take a stroll past the well-preserved buildings and through the small (and also Sweden’s narrowest)
alleys, which will make you feel like you’ve travelled back in time. This neighborhood offers a great combination of historical buildings and traditional Swedish restaurants.

Dear Sam and Peggy,
A normal walk from Arlanda express is about 15 minutes. If you have a lot of luggage maybe a cab is to prefer.
We are looking forward to have you as our guest!
Best regards from all of us.
