Maybe it is the fact it is the only Hilton brand hotel in Stockholm but our recent visit to the property while overall good, left us not totally happy. It started with our check-in. Helene, who checked us in was very nice but informed us that even though I was a gold member, there were not Executive rooms available and...

We recently stayed at the Hilton Stockholm Slussen and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is perfectly situated for sightseeing, a two minute walk to the picturesque Gamla Stan (Old Town) area, the Tunnelbana stop (underground/metro) is on the doorstep, giving you access to the whole network and if you walk south, you are immediately into the 'hipster' area with...

This hotel is well positioned for walking into the main parts of the city and for a local metro station. It is not though a hotel for beautiful views if that is what you are looking for. The rooms are very good (though not much storage space for clothing by UK/US standards); breakfast buffet good and the staff were very...

I quite liked my stay at the Hilton Stockholm Slussen. Like many things in Sweden, it is not cheap, but it was well worth it. What I liked: HHonors Diamond upgrade to an Executive level room with a view of the water. I quite like the wood-style flooring which is great from an allergy perspective. Very good size for the...

We have been here 5 days with 2 more to go. The rooms are very clean, comfortable, and really soundproof. Breakfast buffet is well tended. The staff is so accommodating, friendly and really quick to please. As to the complainers, maybe it's not the staff. We all know people who will never be satisfied. Maybe some of them have no idea...

Great location to enjoy Stockholm. At the centre of the action. Hop across the bridge to Gamla Stan and up the street to cool bars and restaurants in sodermalm. Get a king room, the standard are a bit small. I upgraded the second night. Parking is expensive. Good staff.

We stayed in this hotel as part of a Tauck tour and I would not have chosen it myself as it is very modern and business-looking, without much charm. It is right near a transit hub, which I am sure is convenient for those wishing to use public transport. Fortunately the windows are quite soundprooof or we would have heard...

THe good news is that the hotel is wonderfully situated in the centre by the water with wonderful views and a stones throw from some great restaurants , The rooms are neat , beautiful wood panelling and comfortable beds ( bathrooms are on the small side ) The not so good news is that it seems that they turn over...

Stockholm is a beautiful city and the Hilton is the place to stay. While it is a 20 minute walk to almost anything you want to see, their service and amenities are impeccable! We had a junior suite and it was perfect. Beds were comfortable, and the AC provided the much needed airflow, lacking in hotels that don't have AC....

Staying in Slussen

Neighbourhood Profile
Slussen
A unique mix of grotesque 1960s concrete urban vision and cosy historical Swedish brick houses, Slussen has become one of Stockholm’s most architecturally edgy and controversial neighborhoods. Plans to rebuild the area have been on the agenda for decades, however, so far no agreement could be reached, which is the reason for the continuing decay of its brutalist substance. Nevertheless, the museums and the main shopping street, Götgatan, attract both locals and tourists with Sweden’s most fashion-forward clothing retailers, hipster coffee shops and restaurants. Once the lights are out, the area turns into a bustling nightlife haven, catering to all preferences, from posh hotel bars to sweaty underground nightclubs. There is no better place to experience the clash between old and new Sweden.
