This was a real nice find. The hotel interior is very classy and Scandinavian. Very central, a short 10 minute walk to the nearest train station. The staff were very helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Worth a visit but don't be put off by the roadworks outside. Went for a long weekend with my girlfriend. 10-15 min walk from Odenplan underground station (best way to get around). Walking to the entrance we were slightly concerned as it's right on a busy road intersection and lots of construction going on. Once inside however it's cosy, relaxed...

1) Not child friendly 2) in the middle of some heavy construction zone .. new buildings and highways being build next to your window ... work begins early 3) surrounded by massiv LA style highways and overpasses 3) no gym or pool on the premises Avoid Avoid

At first, the reviews I read at multiple social media sites won me over, although I was sceptical as it is not in the city centre. However, by looking at the pictures, the hotel looks stunning, elegant, with a beautiful lake and garden.. BUT in winter, the thick snow ruins the beautiful, peaceful scenery as shown on the official hotel...

Very comfortable and homely, historic hotel situated alongside a beautiful lake in Stockholm, not far from main city attractions. I am a regular visitor being office-based nearby, and always choose this hotel over others. The staff are always friendly and helpful, the food delicious - but I've noticed the menu seldom changes! The rooms are comfortable enough and are well...

I lived for many years on the north side of Stockholm, so the fact this lovely little hotel is in a park just outside the north ciry neighborhood (Vasastan) was no problem for me. The fact is, Stockholm is fairly compact so walking is no problem, and a good subway station (Odenplan) is a 10-15 min walk away. The park...

The hotel is situated just outside of the city centre at the edge of an amazing lake and grounds. Public transport to the centre isn't an issue and it is about a 15 minute walk to the underground station Odenplan, that links you to all of the main underground routes. Check in was slow as no one seemed to be...

Lovely buildings. Great rooms and a super outlook from 50% of the property. Located near Stockholm centre and at the edge of a lake. Half of the rooms overlook the motorway and half the park and lake. Make sure you get a courtyard or lake view. Staff excellent and restaurant great - really worth eating in for at least one...

When I came to Stockholm last month, I tried Skeppholmen hotel so I go for another design hotel this time here. The characters are similar to one of the famous hotel Villa Kallhagen, though location is totally different; this hotel is very close to Nortull. The building is old and traditional Swedish but inside is fully renovated as modern taste...

Staying in Vasastan

Neighbourhood Profile
Vasastan
Vasastan is one of those neighborhoods that almost looks too good to be true. It has the winning combination of a central location, tranquility, and beautiful buildings – housing sophisticated bars and eateries – that makes this neighborhood Stockholm’s most sought-after place to live. If walking through this area makes you feel like walking through a fairy tale or picture book it’s no surprise, as it’s actually the film set of the famous Swedish children story Karlsson-on-the-Roof. No matter what season, Vasastan manages to impress in the sunshine, covered in snow and won’t even lose its charm when soaked in rain.
