The room was tidy and clean, but there where no power outlet in the bathroom, airconditioning did not work at all, and you could actually hear noises from the bar in the bathroom, and we lived at the 3 floor. The breakfast was unorganized, and the staff did not manage to re-fill the different stations quick enough. We ordered roomservice...

Large hotel close to central station. Room very quiet for such a large establishment. Room was clean and comfortable but oddly whilst a kettle was present no tea, sugar or milk, fine if you like black coffee. Breakfast is a buffet with a great variety of good, quality food, eat what you like, but gets VERY busy at certain times,...

Nice Hotel near the train station, walking distance from it. Rooms are very small but unless one stays in his room, it is ok. Staff very helpful @ the front desk. A supermarket is right across the street and also a sushis bar. Moreover you have the metro right next to the hotel. I would go again!

The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us (we were rather specific in our needs). The room was excellent, the bed was supersoft, and best of all, the hotel is allergy friendly. The in-house restaurant has very good food, I believe the word 'yummy' was used a lot. And the bartenders are more than willing to mix you your...

Hi! Thank you for your lovely review. Rålambshovsparken is wonderful and very near, a perfect choice for jogging. But next time if you have the energy, try jogging around the whole island! If you continue after Rålambshovsparken you come to a more quiet part of Kungsholmen witch is very beutiful. On the otherside of the island the lovely Kungsholmen strand...

I liked the public areas and lobby the best. Lot of room, nice clean design, good vibe. When you are staying more than couple of nights as business traveller that becomes relevant. Room was nice, especially liked the shower. Reception staff was polite abd helpful. Only thin - the service in tap bar can not be much worse. I mean...

Staying in Kungsholmen

Neighbourhood Profile
Kungsholmen
Kungsholmen is one of the largest islands in central Stockholm and one of the most popular places to live. Its most famous attraction is Stockholm’s City Hall, which stands out with its monumental architecture and is one of the most photographed buildings in Sweden. Kungsholmen has its own little city center and shopping mall, its own beach and a lovely pedestrian area next to the water, which charms both locals and visitors with beautiful little cafés, restaurants and of course an awesome view. This neighborhood is perfect for a relaxed stroll followed by some coffee on a Sunday afternoon.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Clarion Hotel Amaranten is located on Kungsholmen in central Stockholm. With only 700 meters from Stockholm's city center and 10 minutes walk to Central Station, the hotel is easily accessible and close to most attractions in Stockholm.Kungsholmen has a great variety of restaurants and has a charming nightlife, ranging from casual outdoor cafes to nightclubs. Near the hotel is also the City Hall and Town Hall, two of Stockholm's most famous silhouettes. At the hotel, we offer a gym, sauna and spa (the indoor pool is temporarily closed for renovations). If you book well in advance is also a personal trainer available. The hotel restaurant Kitchen & Table serves a combination of the best flavors of multicultural Manhattan with local ingredients from the region around one of Stockholm's most beautiful islands -Kungsholmen. The result is a culinary experience with ridiculously good dishes and mixed, maxed tastes. All served with lots of love. ... more   less
