this was a wonderful hotel. great location-close to a metro stop (100 yards or so around the corner) and close to most things by foot or train ex.the palace). also, nicely situated next to a street full of restaurants and coffee shops. Actually a perfect location! our room was small but ample enough for two folks to sleep. heated towel...

This hotel is in a great location. It's essentially in the center of Stockholm and is close to ferries and metros and walking distance to Old Town and the Photography museum. I was visiting a friend and booked a room at this hotel for just me. My room was small, but it was enough for my needs. There are a...

On the website I didn't read carefully. This room said that it had "access to a shower," but did not say that it was a shared shower. The location is nice in the Slussen area (right in-between Stockholm Main city and Gamla Stan. There was no elevator and the bed was super small. I'm used to staying in smaller rooms...

Could not have expected anything better. Hotel in great location. Next to metro station and very short walk to restaurants, the waterfront and the old town section, yet very quiet and secluded. Rooms very comfortable and spacious, clean, warm and quiet. Staff all very helpful, friendly and knowledgable.

If you are accustomed to American hotels, this hotel will be different. There are no elevators, and the staircase is spiral. We were on the fourth floor. To the Swedes, who are very healthy, this was not a problem. To us older, out of shape Americans, going up and down the stairs was a work-out. We were in a deluxe...

We loved this hotel! It was so beautiful from the outside and the location is just perfect. Hotel staff was really helpful and kind. The check-in was 1500 but we got there already at 1100. We were asking if we can leave our luggage safe and they said we can go already to our room. We were so happy becouse...

As we ran out of affordable options in Stockholm for a short night, we booked a "twin bed" room, before realizing the toilet and shower were in the"hallway". By then it was too late to cancel and it is with apprehension that we arrived at 1AM from Arlanda. we were pleasantly surprised by the hotel entrance. The room was bare...

This was the perfect base for a long weekend in Stockholm. We had a good sized room with a comfortable double bed and a sofa bed - perfect for two single women. It was clean, spacious and quiet with everything we needed. The staff were really helpful and friendly and the breakfasts were in a pleasant room with a great...

This is a very pleasant hotel located in Sodermalm about a five minute walk from Slussen T-banan station. It is just off the busy shopping road Gotgatan in a small quiet side street. It is well situated for visiting all other areas of Stockholm either by walking, T-banan or ferry. The hotel is very clean and the standard room with...

The hotel is in a perfect place to explore Stockholm old town, but please do not choose here the "cheapest" roomtype (small room with two separete bed/ unfortunately prices are so high in Stockholm that in London or in Rome for the same money You get two or three times better room) So, please upgrade Your booking for as this...

Staying in Slussen

Neighbourhood Profile
Slussen
A unique mix of grotesque 1960s concrete urban vision and cosy historical Swedish brick houses, Slussen has become one of Stockholm’s most architecturally edgy and controversial neighborhoods. Plans to rebuild the area have been on the agenda for decades, however, so far no agreement could be reached, which is the reason for the continuing decay of its brutalist substance. Nevertheless, the museums and the main shopping street, Götgatan, attract both locals and tourists with Sweden’s most fashion-forward clothing retailers, hipster coffee shops and restaurants. Once the lights are out, the area turns into a bustling nightlife haven, catering to all preferences, from posh hotel bars to sweaty underground nightclubs. There is no better place to experience the clash between old and new Sweden.
