Good location in a lovely building right in the square. This is a basic hotel with simple but clean rooms. We had our bathroom. Other rooms have shared bathroom. In our apartment we didn't have wi-fi. Lovely restaurant and bar on the ground floor. Simple breakfast was good. Internet worked well in common area. Staff were welcoming and very helpful.

My wife and I booked this hotel during our stay in Stockholm, Sweden. At first, we couldn't find the front desk. I didn't know you have to ring the bell to get in then climb the stair to one floor for the front desk to check in. We booked with private bathroom. The location is very convenient to the T-bana...

I've found this place while i was searching for a hotel to stay only one night, very near to the bus stops from Arlanda airport. It was 30 second walk from the bus stop. 30 min walking distance to Gamla Stan. At it was a very nice old homey hotel. I was quite lucky with my pick. Simple breakfast, no...

A very basic but good hotel in the central part of Stockholm. The rooms are very basic but ok for a short stay. Breakfast also basic but ok. The hotel is situated near an underground station and it is easy to get to and from the hotel.

We stayed here for a visit to Sweden hosting Eurovision. Towels and bed sheets are changed daily, the hostel itself is clean. The hostel is in an old Government building. There is a shop a two minute walk away, reasonably priced. There are shared bathrooms but there are plenty for the guests, and the bathrooms are clean. Hairdryers are available...

Did a one night layover in Stockholm to break up a long flight; had a bit of sticker-shock at prices. That said, hotel was just a few steps from easy Arlanda airport shuttle stop, our room was clean and comfy, and the very full breakfast buffet gave us good start to the day. Great location: metro stop and market close...

Very nice little hotel, good for a few nights; close to the subway. The service is nice, not extremely friendly but nice. It was clean overall, they had a bagagerie, and free wifi. The breakfast was included, which is a nice point. Overall I'd say it's good because of its price/quality ratio.

This isn't a luxury hotel but the rooms though simple are clean and pleasant, overlooking (in our case) a quiet dead-end street. Very quiet even on a Friday night. Some rooms have their own bathroom but some share. The breakfast was rather too basic, with too few tables for all the guests. It was full when we came, so we...

Staying in Vasastan

Neighbourhood Profile
Vasastan
Vasastan is one of those neighborhoods that almost looks too good to be true. It has the winning combination of a central location, tranquility, and beautiful buildings – housing sophisticated bars and eateries – that makes this neighborhood Stockholm’s most sought-after place to live. If walking through this area makes you feel like walking through a fairy tale or picture book it’s no surprise, as it’s actually the film set of the famous Swedish children story Karlsson-on-the-Roof. No matter what season, Vasastan manages to impress in the sunshine, covered in snow and won’t even lose its charm when soaked in rain.
