we stayed one night with our two children. they loved the experience to sleep on a boat! the 4-bed room was spacious, very clean, free DVDs, and very speedy internet (which you know is the most important when you have teenage kids :) breakfast is included and is excellent. the location is good, you can walk downtown or catch the...

Quite an enjoyable experience, our children loved it and it was an adventure for all of us, not every day you get to sleep on a boat, would recommend to others. Breakfast was good and served at a time you choose, within serving hours. Arriving later in the day, the directions given to access the boat and room are easy...

I really enjoyed my stay here! The Double Deluxe Room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. I really liked the whole boat setting, making it a unique experience. You have to pass a steep ladder to go to the rooms though, so please consider it (big luggage, babies and elderlies not recommended). Another issue is the wifi. It's available in...

I stayed at the M/S Monika for one night and I enjoyed the night. Very silent, very characteristic, however you must be prepared for some discomfort: rooms are not the same on a boat. However, the double was large enough, it had a power shower, no no big deal, and the breakfast was very good. Recommended for those who like...

+ very nice experience to sleep on a boat in the centre of Stockholm + very kind and service-oriented staff on board + hotel price is ok compared to hotel rooms in Stockholm + the room is comfortable - the air condition is a bit noisy so bring ear plugs - the access to the rooms floor is a steep...

We chose this place mainly because of its quirky nature being a real boat and were not disappointed in any respect. We knew the rooms would be small and contained bunks from reading TA reviews and that the access was steep stairs. We were impressed by the single member of staff that we met who helps with our luggage, was...

First, the positives: communication was generally good, the rooms were very quiet, the spot on the river is quiet except for some passing trains, you hear very little noise from other guests, the boat is very clean, breakfast was good, and the only employee we saw was friendly and helpful. Sitting out on the deck of the boat in nice...

We stayed here for a long weekend and got lucky. Its a cute as barge. Room 1 is best for your kids though. Bunk beds with very little room. Even though, or perhaps because, it's well out of the touristy areas, it was a great place to stay. Only about 15 minute walk along the waterside to the central station....

Reasonably priced for Stockholm (a really expensive city) this hotel offer all the comforts from a traditional hotel with the difference of being a boat. This was the main reason why we decided to book it. The coffee break is honest and you can choose what time you want it to be served. The rooms are comfortable, the only let...

Dawid has gone out of his way to help me and I haven't even arrived yet. I was booked in twice for ine stay. It's scary to think you'll be charged twice for a silly error. Thanks for your understanding and outstanding service!

Staying in Kungsholmen

Neighbourhood Profile
Kungsholmen is one of the largest islands in central Stockholm and one of the most popular places to live. Its most famous attraction is Stockholm’s City Hall, which stands out with its monumental architecture and is one of the most photographed buildings in Sweden. Kungsholmen has its own little city center and shopping mall, its own beach and a lovely pedestrian area next to the water, which charms both locals and visitors with beautiful little cafés, restaurants and of course an awesome view. This neighborhood is perfect for a relaxed stroll followed by some coffee on a Sunday afternoon.
