nice kitchen, you have a supermarket just across the street and a also, a very nice coffee shop. The beds are very comfortable. The air might be a little difficult to breath because there is no window in the rooms, but the is some kind of ventilation. Also, because you have no window, you can sleep until 10 a.m. without...

That was my question when entering the doors, after booking 2 nights online at Hostel Dalagatan. Can a nice hostel really be that cheap in such a central location? The answer is YES, it can! and NO, there is no catch! I found the bed and linnen clean and neat, just as the rest of the place. The beds were...

it's messy and it stinks shoes everywhere! Moreover, the room was much smaller than what it stood on the site when booking! I had to leave the hotel a short while after I checked-in! People behaved as if they were in their own home, in the common space; they drank alcohol, played loud music and had the TV on high...

Dirty dishes all over the common kitchen. The common fridge was over full, we could'nt put our food there. On the floor in our room it was vermin, silverfishes. There was a bed missing in our room, three persons, only two beds. We didn't stay as long as we should. Never again.

The hostel uses a system of pins for check in and out, which may make sense in some ways, but leaves too much uncontrolled in others. When we arrived and went to our assigned beds people were already sleeping in them. We had to sleep in beds that looked already used. In the morning we woke up to banging on...

Very convenient location of the hostel, near the city center! Nice kitchen with stove and fridge. You can leave the luggage in the storage room after eviction. Good shower room. Bunk beds in a room for 6 people. Sockets enough.

We stayed in this hostel, but people who did not pay for it also ate and slept there! Taking advantage of the fact that there are no workers in the hours that the reception is closed, they took food from the fridge freely (obviously food that was not theirs, including ours), dined there using kitchen products and left everything uncollected,...

The room was clean and everithing was well structured but the room was too small to fit 8 people in one place. Sure it was really cheap and if you plan on exploring the city you won't spend much time there anyway but still it was defenetely overcrowded. If you plan on staying 1 or 2 nights it alright but...

Staying in Vasastan

Neighbourhood Profile
Vasastan
Vasastan is one of those neighborhoods that almost looks too good to be true. It has the winning combination of a central location, tranquility, and beautiful buildings – housing sophisticated bars and eateries – that makes this neighborhood Stockholm’s most sought-after place to live. If walking through this area makes you feel like walking through a fairy tale or picture book it’s no surprise, as it’s actually the film set of the famous Swedish children story Karlsson-on-the-Roof. No matter what season, Vasastan manages to impress in the sunshine, covered in snow and won’t even lose its charm when soaked in rain.
