This hotel is not very central - about a 20 minute walk to Gamla Stan, alternatively 2 metro stops or plenty of bus stops nearby going everywhere, including the port. Breakfast is generous and of good quality and we had plenty of space in the room for 3 people. I think it was a good choice for the 5 nights...

In July we were in Stockholm and stay at Hansson for 4 days. The hotel is well located between two metro station in a quiet location. The hotel is rated as 4 stars but after our experience it has barely 3 stars...one wing of the hotel, and the renovated wing almost 4 stars... The reception staff is helpful and professional....

Our experience at this hotel was satisfactory bordering on 'good'. To put it in simple terms, this hotel is nothing special. However, this was exactly what we expected; and incidentally weren't bothered. The breakfast experience was satisfactory and the range on offer was ok. The hotel staff were quite disconnected and some had more of a personality, but more of...

Hotel Rooms are quite big and it is Value for money. Breakfast served in the Hotel is quite good. Would recommend people to stay in this Hotel. Location is good. Hard Rock Cafe, McDonalds and Seven11 are short walk from the hotel. Free WIFI is only in the Hotel Reception.

My husband and I stayed at Hansson for two nights 10-12 June 2016 when visiting a concert in Stockholm. We opted for one of their older rooms in need for modernizing. However we knew the room was dated and got a good price. It was perfectly adequate for our needs coming for a concert with dinner at nearby restaurants. Breakfast...

The location is quite good in the center of Stockholm. But it did not fulfill my expectations as a 4 star hotel. My room was without AC and I had to open the window to get some sleep. With the result of waking up at 05:30 due to lorries and trucks outside, It did not get any better after shutting...

This was a lovely hotel within a 20min walking distance of the centre. Lovely spacious family room with two single fold up beds and a double. The bathroom had a sink, toilet and shower. Lovely traditional features in the room but no air con (which wasn't needed even though it was hot when we were there!). Breakfast was very busy...

The breakfast was quite good, our room was large and clean, unfortunately wifi was free only at lobby. The hotel wasn't very close to subway station,it was 5 blocks away, but you could walk to the centre if you would like,at about 15-20 minutes.

I think the issue with this hotel is that it is sold as 4 star accommodation but that doesn't apply to all the rooms. We unfortunately booked through Wotif's mystery 4 star hotel deal which gave us certain expectations. The room we were allocated was probably more 3 star and would have been fine if it had been cleaned and...

Staying in Vasastan

Neighbourhood Profile
Vasastan
Vasastan is one of those neighborhoods that almost looks too good to be true. It has the winning combination of a central location, tranquility, and beautiful buildings – housing sophisticated bars and eateries – that makes this neighborhood Stockholm’s most sought-after place to live. If walking through this area makes you feel like walking through a fairy tale or picture book it’s no surprise, as it’s actually the film set of the famous Swedish children story Karlsson-on-the-Roof. No matter what season, Vasastan manages to impress in the sunshine, covered in snow and won’t even lose its charm when soaked in rain.
