For a "vandrarhem", I found this place lacking in several respects. It had no atmosphere whatsoever and I was neither impressed with the cleanliness of the room nor with the quality of the service. Avoid the breakfast (there was no fresh bread and the yoghurt was expired). If all you want is a cheap and centrally located place, this place...

I stayed here with a couple friends for a day just before Valborg. It saved me when I had nowhere else to stay for the night, but I'm kind of glad I was able to crash with a friend the rest of the time I was there. The last minute rate for a small room (I usually pick dorm rooms)...

Had to book this place as was at a conference in Uppsala but most decent stuff was beyond my budget, Sweden being super expensive. Location is excellent being close to the station, city centre and university but then Uppsala is not very big. The room was quite expensive in international terms for a cell with bunkbeds and no type of...

The Uppsala City Hostel is member of STF and YHI which guaranties a minimum quality level and membership can give members discount. This hostel is not my favorite hostel in Sweden and it lacks a lot of charm, but it is located in the center of Uppsala, it's relatively clean, it has a reception open until 23.00 and it serves...

City Hostel is well located, about six blocks to the train/bus station. The rooms are quite basic. The bathroom areas have been recently redone and are nice. The whole place could use an update, but it was a fine place to stay. The kitchen was small but functional. Nice TV room for lounging. Nothing stands out here, but I would...

Staff were unbelievably ignorant and rude. We arrived late at night and had informed the staff. We had trouble gaining access to our room to eventually find a dirty room with broken furniture & no bed sheets. Prison like accommodation and staff not available to help. We had to seek alternative accomodation after one awful night in this dump!

Near downtown and not so far from the train and bus station, this hostel is simply an hostel, with less charm but clean rooms; look at the reception opening time!

The Uppsala hostel (Vandrarhem in Swedish) had the typical opening hours of only around supper time which is so typical of Swedish hostels. It was nice and clean and our double room was certainly adequate and the place had the usual kitchen and tv room. But the place had no soul. Once you were in (you had to pass three...
