the beach is lovely and the hotel has many amenities (spa, restaurants, nightclub, etc). however a basic room for 2 adults and a child is way overpriced at 400usd. we enjoyed our stay and would go back if the price tag wasn't so high.

My wife and I heard about this place through a colleague so we decided to stay over a weekend. Hoping for a really pleasant experience, especially when considering the price, we were very disappointed on almost all levels. For starters, the receptionists lack a genuine welcoming smile and general friendliness. On our way to our room, located in the main...

Beautiful location. When the hotel is rebuilt it might be worth going there, but not before. It was soooo noisy. machines working most of the time. The relax area is nice but the jacuzzis were full wih people all the time. I would not recommend anyone to go there without checking the construction has finished. The confererence room "Biblioteket" was...

The location is great and we had a very nice private lunch. Apart from that this seems to be a place for drunk workers, over-sized dinner area with small rooms overlooking a construction area. The staff was not very friendly and I can have some understanding if they mainly face drunk people on Friday evening. However, we had some unacceptable...

This is no doubt one of our worst hotel experiences ever. What happened to the old elegant hotel from the early 60s? This is now a sad and hugely over-prized place for those who just want to be drunk throughout their stay. The current buildings seem to be from the 1970s and 1980s. The entire compound looks very cheap. The...

The service is typical Scandinavian 4-star standard (what in the rest of europe would mean 3-star). Basic service for your basic needs. The reception is welcoming and so is the rest of the staff. The hotel is HUGE or simply feels huge. The walk to my rooms felt like forever. It was in a connected building after a maze of...

As the tilte and previous comments say, this is all about location. Hotel Tylosand is literally on the beach and not any beach but one of the most popular beaches in the country. The hotel also has a really nice spa consisting of two floors where the upper floor is for adults only. The upper section has a relaxation area,...

If you are looking for one of Swedens best beaches where things are happening - you should definately go to Tylösand. Amazing sand, shallow waters, beautiful sunsets. Hotel Tylösand is sitting right on the beach front with a truly fantastic view of the ocean and the sunset. This is probably one of the biggest assets of the place, but potentially...

Location is Great, service is attemprive and good. We really enjoeyd the atmosfere, the view.. everything. We tried a restaurant only and the fish selection was excellent as well as the wine...

This hotel and restaurants are disgraceful and awarning is appropriate for anyone considering visiting this place. Apparently they rely on the possible reputation from past days or the location, but the whole place is depressing and dull with no effort whatsoever to change to the better. The meals are terrible and should hardly be fit as prison food. The owners...
