We were staying on Amorgos in some apartments which were close to the sea but did not have a pool. So we were trying to find a place where you could have a day pass to use the pool and facilities for the day, and this one popped up.
We are unsure if we were allowed to come in for the day because the hotel wasn't full or if they allow this any time of the year. They didn't charge to use the facilities but we had to spend over 15euros per person on food and/or drink.
Situated on the hillside, the pool area has great views over looking Aegialis Bay.
The sun beds are comfortable with a table in between 2 beds and some of them were under sun shade structures. Once we were on the beds, the staff came out with bottled water and an ice bucket. This was refreshed several times during our stay. They also provided towels. Pool side were toilets, proper showers and changing rooms. Given its a 5 star hotel, the prices reflected this. Staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for you.
We had a lovely day relaxing here.
I have only given the hotel 4 stars as we did not stay there. Consequently have no idea what the rooms are like or any other facilities in the hotel.

We have just left the Aegialis Pension & Spa where we spent a fabulous week!

the view from the Inn is really spectacular with a wouahou effect upon arrival

We were staying in the Pension extension where the rooms are absolutely beautiful: recent room, storage on built-in shelves like troglodyte, Italian shower with neon colors, very neat decoration, perfect bedding, balcony with always this magical view, bottle of Prosecco and fruit to welcome us, electric cart to bring us to our room on request.

The staff is charming and considerate with a special mention for really friendly maids!

We particularly enjoyed the Inn’s private beach very nice with deckchairs and restaurant on the beautiful sandy beach of Aegiali + shuttle to take us there.

Note: Transfers To/from the port with one of the Pension drivers.
We took the half board which is very convenient as there is no restaurant in the immediate vicinity (walking distance).

Within the Lesser Cyclades, it is likely there is not another hotel and spa as accommodating and glamorous as the Aegialis Hotel & Spa Amorgos. With an evening ferry arrival and ground transport arranged through Aegialis, we arrived to a bright, modern and welcoming oasis with a beyond-expectation property. The front desk staff were immediately attentive and welcoming and this standard was maintained throughout our five night stay by the restaurant, pool bar (the pool area five stars along with the staff) and all with whom we interacted. Though an enjoyable exercise walk away from the main building (golf cart readily available), our Deluxe Room with Outdoor Jacuzzi was bedroom, bathroom and private jacuzzi wonderful; modern, bright, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the near town hotel's beach, cafe and Aegialis town (easily walkable from the beach/cafe) made possible with the courtesy van. Nearby, with steps, the hike to the Greek church offered a picturesque Aegialis town view. Another highlight: A privately arranged day trip to tour Amorgos Island with a member of the hotel staff. We debated the cost and so happy(!) we committed to the individualized/custom tailored visits to the Monastery of Panagia Hozoviotissa, a beautiful nearby Monastery beach with its own church, the quintessentially Greek Chora (capital and main ferry port of Amorgos) and our guide's hometown of Tholaria. Our guide was fantastic and he offered far more than the usual as evidenced by insights offered and the warm welcomes he received during our day. Definitely recommend! PS: The Aegialis Hotel & Spa Amorgos is an important international yoga destination; this not our accommodation purpose. Other than a bit groupie, yoga class and eating time managed and interesting people watching, no issues.

Very nice suite with jacuzzi facing the bay, great bedding and plenty of space, a large shower room, great luxury!
However, awakened two mornings at 7am by very “leaning” steps on the roof terrace just above the bedroom then music and collective session of “yoga” from 7:30am, not “zen” at all!!!

The staff is very attentive, the Breakfast welcome is very friendly and the manager very “listening”. The buffet is well stocked, but especially for people who "salty breakfast"! On the other hand, for “morning sweets” the bread is not always fresh, a “lean” toaster, which works “halfway” (it does not do it for a 5-star...), allows to have an illusion of crispiness ... Coffee is not good, it must be said! (stored warm in a large metal container with tap, as can be seen in very modest establishments in France ...) As for jam, we will not “spread” on its mediocre taste ...

First evening, dinner at the Pension, buffet very well stocked, cool and cozy atmosphere, followed by a very pleasant music evening...
Unlike the last night: the buffet had to be as well stocked but, to avoid the “very noisy crowd”, we waited too long ... a very – but really very - high sound level, worthy of a school canteen!!! Not at all the same melody...

Our stay at this Pension therefore leaves us with very "mixed" impressions ...

IF you don’t end up in the one unpleasant yoga shala, this is a stunning place to do yoga. All the Yoga shalas, except one, have beautiful views and big open floor to ceiling windows for fresh air and sea breezes and the sounds of nature. If this is important to you, do not book a yoga retreat here unless you can be assured you group will not be assigned to the Elyssia shala. All the groups get to rotate through the rooftop yoga location. The spot is really fun, unique, and quite a special experience. Chances are your group will only be assigned to the rooftop a couple of times, and that is OK because it can get to be too much sun exposure. Overall, the food is really good, (and I have quite high standards). They say that some of the produce is sourced from their garden, but from what I saw, I am doubtful very much of it actually is. It would be nice if it was labeled. They offer some excursions. The Amrgan experience sounded pretty awesome, but a bit expensive for what you get. The yacht experience was really fun, but definitely very overpriced for what you get. The monastery and beach swimming excursion was free for our group, and was well worth the time. Tholaria and Lagada are adorable little authentic villages just a few kilometers away. Be sure to visit them. You can rent a scooter down near the pier - about a 15 minute walk. We upgraded to the deluxe room and it was very nice to have a big shaded patio. The staff is incredibly wonderful and quick to meet your every need. After dinner, one evening, they did traditional Greek music and dancing and that was a total blast. I hear great things about the spa, but my massage was just average. They put you in some sort of machine for the detox massage, which was cold and hard, and Certainly not relaxing or enjoyable. In the massage part of it was pretty average technique. Overall, this is an incredibly special place with special people. Just beware of the Yoga shala situation. If you are an experienced hiker, there is a good trail from Tholaria down to a beach. Look on AllTrails.

Wow! We traveled here for the Amorgos Film Festival and we were blown away. The service was great and our room- it was incredible. We had an amazing view! However, I will note that the infinity pool rooms come with a "hike". Its the newest part of the hotel but furthest from the buffet/other activities. They had golf carts to bring us but in the rain they cannot use them as the could slip (alt option was a car). Sadly the weather was a bit gloomy while we were there, but we heard in years prior it was super hot so you kind of get a mixed bag with the island (as is common for most islands). Also the heat on the island is different than in the states. 66 degrees felt like an intense 80 degrees, so be prepared! The food was good (I will dream about the greek yogurt & honey!) and the adventures we took with the festival was so insightful. The pools were too cold for us to use and sadly another yoga retreat was going on so there were no yoga classes available to guests at the time we were there. The hotel conveniently picked us up at the port and dropped us at the port as well. Overall we had a beautiful stay and Irina and her family are SO lovely. Cannot wait to go back someday- perhaps at a warmer time of the year!

On a couple trip in the Cyclades in August 2024, we stayed at this beautiful property, famous for its yoga seminars. The strengths of the Inn are in my review the magnificent plunging view it offers of the Bay of Aegiali (from its restaurant, its beautiful pool and the terraces of the rooms), the quality of the breakfast buffets (we did not test its gourmet restaurant but only that of the pool where the pizzas and salads were excellent), the musical atmosphere (mainly Greek, Italian and French varieties of the 60s/70s), and the kindness of its staff (polyglot, speaking especially French). The small disadvantages are the poor quality of the spa facilities (but we had not been there in August for the steam room, sauna and jacuzzi) and the fact that the Inn is perched about 100 m above sea level, a little less than a km away from the beautiful beach of Aegiali (that of Petradi is barely closer and without much interest) and about 1.5 km from the port. The Inn offers a free shuttle service with the "Nissi", a beach establishment of Aegiali, with deckchairs (included in our Reservation) and bar/snack (whose consumption can be charged to the room account). If you want to go down or up on foot, there is the lace-up road (little traffic) or the coastal path that can be reached via a wide dirt road and pebbles that descends opposite the Pension's south coach entrance to Petradi (10/15 minutes walk by the latter, to access the northern end of Aegiali beach. To continue to the port, you have to walk 25 m in the lapping of the sea at high tide). Just before arriving at the beach, a fork allows you to take the hiking route n°4 that goes up to Tholaria, which you will also cross by road. If you like hiking (this is our case), then the Pension is very well placed. Our room (superior, sea view) had a slightly retro charm, a bathroom struggling to provide hot water in the morning and air conditioning that we had great difficulty adjusting. Overall, however, a very nice Inn in an exceptional location: as long as the Chozoviotissa Monastery is not transformed into a Shuttle and Deckchair Inn in Agia Anna, there will not be an establishment offering a more beautiful panorama in Amorgos.

This remarkable luxury resort with magnificent views from every pearly white suite not-only has a breathing taking pool but a top rated restaurant that hosts a bountiful buffet daily. The eco friendly hotel and spa provides guests with glass water bottles in their rooms with available refills at anytime. Towels and sheets are changed upon request to save on water. The staff is extraordinary. The rooms are spacious and this privately owned treasure is maintained by a esteemed Amorgos Family who welcomes their guests with a smile and a tasty welcoming drink. The dreamy sand beaches are accessible as well as lively local tavernasYoga classes are plentiful and one can even graduate with certification. The spa is state of the art with European and Greek Beauty Treatments. I have been returning to this Paradise every summer for years!

Beautiful facility, incredible staff, and the perfect place to host a yoga retreat. We had the best time! We were made to feel like family!

Exceptional service from the front desk, to the kitchen/dining room, and the spa! We loved everyone. Katerina in particular helped organize everything and made sure myself and my guests had everything we needed. She was phenomenal!

What I also really appreciated was for the yoga, everything was taken care of from the setting up of the studio space to cleaning after. All you had to do was show up and teach. Teo and his staff were incredible!!

I’d definitely recommend and go back!

Aegialis Hotel and Spa is a thematic Yoga resort, equipped to offer its visitor a unique experience. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, each shala can easily host any kind of Yoga,
Lalon Spa staff, its facilities and services offer the best visitor's desire for deep relaxation and treatment.
The restaurant offer daily a wide range of traditional and modern delicious cuisine.
A small percentage of unskilled personnel mainly at the restaurant could fade the whole picture but the professionalism of the managers, from bookings to the Spa, as well as the effort of the owners for continuous development of the whole unit is remarkable.
Thank you all and each one of you for your cooperation. Have a great summer time.
