The reception of us, including our dog, was very warm and welcoming. Our dog received a nice little bag with a toy, snacks and other useful stuff! Great!
The Standard room was the only chance when travelling with a pet. This was somewhat a disappointment because many hotels offer also better categories. The room was small, as expected, but cosy and located nicely by the lift/stairs. The staff told that bigger rooms would be available at Scandic Paasi around the corner. Well, this time we liked to stay by the market square.
The room temperature was 22,6 C on arrival (too much for a good night's sleep) and we tried to adjust it lower, but the ventilation+temperature system on the wall did not help, even when the ventilation was turned to maximum. However, there was a table fan in the room and we used that as well. I wonder what the temperature will be in summer?
The breakfast buffet was fresh and delicious. Finnish smoked cheese was nice as was also the beetroot hummus. Yummy! The only fish was a smoked salmon relish salad that was not so inviting because of the mixed texture. I would hope for smoked or gravad (sashimi-like) salmon as such or just a few jars of wonderful Finnish herring.
The visit was enjoyable. The location of the hotel is very good, metro and trams close and you get quickly to the centrum even by foot. We paid a visit to the Hakaniemi market hall (wonderful delicacies and gifts) and a nearby music shop that's a treasure trove for LP and CD collectors.

The hotel has a very excellent location, just a few meters from the tram, bus, and metro stations. The staff is friendly and helpful. The handicapped room was spacious, and the bathroom was also equipped for people who use a wheelchair. I will definitely stay at this hotel when I visit Helsinki in the future.

Great location, friendly staff, great breakfast, nice room (a bit too small, but we had only reserved a standard room). I wish the sauna would have been open in the mornings as well, it was only open at 6-9 pm, but at that time we were out for dinner and evening activities. Overall we were happy with our stay.

I intend to visit Helsinki again next year but will not stay in this hotel.

Right outside the hotel there are good connections with buses, trams and subway to the airport, the city center etc. 10 minutes to walk to the center. Good breakfast. Our room 412 had a bed that was only 140 cm wide for two people. Cramped and difficult to sleep. Also a lot of noise from trams, cars, etc. which also disturbed sleep. After the second night, the room was neither cleaned nor made and house-keeping had taken our second key card.

This hotel is conveniently located near the city centre and easily accessible by public transport (the metro station is just few metres from the hotel and several trams and buses - including the bus to the airport - stop there). Excellent staff, very kind and helpful, particularly at the reception. Room well equipped and clean. Good breakfast.

Affordable accommodation in a really good location. The breakfast was tasty and varied.
The rooms need a little updating. The sauna is small, but there were hardly any other users.

I stayed at this hotel for One Night. My room was on the 9 TH floor, so No problem with Noise from the outside. The hotel reception is very small and oddly shaped. The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel only has two elevators, so it can sometimes be a Long wait for an free elevator. My room was ok, but fairly small, with all the furniture inside. The bed was comfortable and I slept well.
The breakfast was on the second floor and pretty basic. The breakfast room has nice views to Hakaniemi market place. The place was fairly packed during Sunday morning, a lot of guests having breakfast.

Hi. I watched only local channels, but usually in Scandic's they have several international channels, from news(CNN/BBC) to also at least some Swedish Channels. In Finland international channels are not dubbed, so you can also watch everything from Discovery to Fox with English. Hope this helps
The,hotel has a store room for left luggage however whether you would be able to leave it for 2 days I could not say so best to check with the hotel. They are very kind, helpful and accommodating.
