In town for business and chose this hotel due to availability. The location is great, and the people are very nice. But, it's not quite a business class hotel.

The housekeeping was a bit lacking - didn't replace towels, etc. A used coffee mug was left on the desk for 4 days. Th

Our room was not large but it offered all that we needed: good bathroom facilities, a quiet atmosphere, comfortable king-sized bed and easy chairs. There was a great selection at breakfast including superb coffee. The location is ideal - 2 minutes from the Esplanade and the harbo

Loved my stay here. 2 nights. Only a few rooms per floor. Location is perfect, quite easy to find. Rooms are clean and quite spacious. Staff was kind and helpful. I would probably add some items to breakfast choice. Quite simple.

Had a really short stay here before heading home. The staff were excellent with the calling us when our rooms were ready to check in to and looking after our bags in the meantime since we arrived so early. We had a really early departure too and they made us sandwiches to take wi

We had a light and airy room, which was very comfortable. The location is great - very near the port and shops. As the hotel is tucked into a courtyard behind the street, there was no street noise. The air-conditioner made an irritating constant noise, but we could open the wi

Which is the best way to get there from the airport? We arrive late at night around 23:30 on 6 December. Thank you!
Dear our guests, You can take an Airport taxi ( shuttle taxi ) , cost for 2 persons is €29,50 , they have a stand just outside the custom. They might go first some other address, but the time is max 45 min. Fixed priced HELSINKI taxi is € 44, remember to mention about fixed price to the driver . Train or Buss to Railway station is about 35 min. The 6th of December is our independence day so the night might be more "lively" than normally, special near the Railway Station, So my suggest is to take the taxi.

What season will it be in Finland in July? Will it be okay to visit the country or too snowy?
Summer. Average temperature in July in Finland is around 18-20c. So finding snow here in july would be very difficult, exept in some spots in Lappland and in intentionally made snow storages for early opening of downhill ski slopes in Lappland. Right now 18th march, in Helsinki it is around +5c and the little of snow we have had is already gone or melting away. Summer weather can be very nice and sunny and then again occassionally below 20c and some rain. So it is good to pack also a warm sweater and a water & windproof jacket. Generally speaking the weather is dry because of the continental climate. And dont forget that we do enjoy from midnight sun! It is good to keep in mind that the distance between capital Helsinki in the south by the Bay of Finland and Lappland and north border towards Norway is about 1.100km. I suppose this equals to distance between Brighton and Shetland islands in UK. In terms of snow, between early may and november there typically hardly is any snow, not even in Lappland, exept maybe some hills up there. Downhill ski resorts in Lappland usually close by first week of may. In Helsinki this winter we hardly had any snow until X'mas and the weather has been around 0c. Then again a few years ago we had 1.3m of snow and it was -20c for maybe three weeks in january. This is no problem for us finns as we have centrally heated houses with triple windows. So even thoug the the official tourist marketing concentrates on showing images of wast lakes and woodlands, snowy tundra etc. We do have all very high standard modern facilities where ever one goes. And of course you are welcomed by very friedly finns, who in average also speak two foreign languages, starting with english. Finland does have four clear seasons, all of them very beautiful. Check visitfinland website for more info. Welcome!
