Great location, easy access to the city center and Helsinki theather. Friendly service at check in and check out. Highly recommend becoming a Scandic Friends member. We appreciated the possibility for early check-in. The superior room was spacious and fit three people easily. Would highly book a room another time as well.

I have often stayed in Scandic Hotels, so there was nothing new in the concept. This hotel is relatively new and the rooms have some kind of circus theme with colourful details.

In general, the hotel is good but I had some issues with rooms, especially temperatures. The corner room where I stayed first was cold, less than 18 degrees. Then I changed to another room where the temperature stayed at 23 degrees despite my trying to decrease it. That was good enough and I didn't spend much time in the room anyway.

Otherwise, the room was comfortable and clean. Some time in the night there was some noise probably coming from the old pipes of the building. It seems that the cleaner changed my towels every day although I left them in the hook which was supposed to mean I continue using them.

The buffet breakfast was practical and the time was long enough to start early or late. The personnel was very helpful. I like the location near Kallio area, Hakaniemi market and the metro station.

Nice hotel in a good location! Great value for money!
We had a fairly large room (family room?) with a balcony, bathtub, couch, 2 small tables, kettle. The toilet was in a separate room. Good, plentiful breakfast! The coffee could be better. Everything was very environmentally conscious, no mini butter individually packaged, etc. There was also the option to separate waste in the room.
The balconies look out onto the inner courtyard, it is quiet and private, but without a special view. You can't have everything.
Good location! The 600 bus from the airport stops 2 minutes walk away, there is also the metro and trams. It is about 15 minutes walk to the center.
Unfortunately not a single German TV channel. We would love to come back!

Perfect location to explore Helsinki with plenty of buses , trams and metro right outside the hotel , also the bus 615 to the airport stops there, the main railway station is merely a 10 minutes walk .You’ll find also plenty of restaurants, bars and a 24 hour supermarket in the vicinity. The main nightlife district is about 15 minutes walk away .Nevertheless the hotel is located in a quiet street with almost no traffic . My room was of a good size with plenty of room to hang my clothes , there was also a fridge .Windows cannot be opened but the ventilation system was not annoying as in other hotels and was easily adjusted .Internet worked well but you are asked to log in several times during the stay . The bed was very comfortable. The hotel staff were very welcoming and friendly

A relaxing vacation in the heart of Helsinki.
We had booked a room with a private sauna and it was a great choice. We were able to take a sauna in peace and relax, which is exactly what we had come for.
The room was located on the top floor of the hotel, so there was a nice view over the rooftops of Helsinki. In addition, the sounds of the traffic could not be heard in the room at all.
Our room was spacious and well decorated, the wallpaper had the same patterns as the hotel room doors.
There were many good options for breakfast, so everyone could find something to eat and there was no need to leave the hotel hungry to continue the day.
The staff was friendly and advised everything needed.
There are limited parking spaces at the hotel, all their spaces were reserved in the parking garage, but we were able to park the car in the yard for the evening and the next morning, which was fine for us.

We stayed at Scandic Paasi for the first time and these are the best features:
- easy parking in front of hotel, best for weekend guests, because its free after 6 pm on Saturday and free on Sundays.
- breakfast was great! And there were enough seats for everyone. The service worked well and nothing ended.
- location is very good, easy access to public transportation to go to for example Linnanmäki amusement park. Couple of minutes by tram to the heart of the city.
- quiet location
- many good restaurants nearby
- the only negative was narrow separate beds. It was especially difficult for my husband who needs space.

On arrival at room 105, Friday 14 June, we found pubic hair in the bed, bloodstains on the sheets, rubbish on the TV and in the "bar" shelf, dusty glass in the bathroom and loose tiles on the bathtub. The hotel was apparently full, so we only got a new sheet for the bed and were promised a free drink from the bar. We were woken many times by dogs barking and thought it was coming from outside. We made the reception aware of this on Saturday morning, but were not offered a new room. She was to give instructions to change the bed and investigate the barking. It eventually turned out that it came from the room across the hall (104). We knocked on the door and complained to the owner, but the barking did not stop. Was also woken up several times during the night on Sunday. At check-out we complained again and were then told that we should contact reception and get a new room..!???
Confronted her about the lack of rooms, but she then claimed they had several available. Seemed otherwise uninterested in receiving any complaints. The receptionist on Saturday afternoon also found no remarks on the room, but gave us 2 beers when I showed the pictures from the room.
The breakfast was relatively decent, but the eggs were both cold and scrambled. 1 out of 5 4-minute eggs were green, and appeared to be from the previous day. The bacon was cooked and limp (unappetizing) and the beans were soggy on Sunday. Tables and salt/pepper shakers were chewy, and the staff were slow to clean. Otherwise, it was decent food with a good selection. Kudos to a poor schoolboy(?) who serviced the entire hotel alone on Saturday night, and who made a valiant attempt to make up the bed with new sheets.

Like said in the title, bed was broken (broken springs), there were dust and cookie crumbs on the floor and empty protein drink can under the sofa. I have travelled quite a bit and first time that I noticed that the atmosphere in the breakfast was not comfortable; the lighting was way too bright and it was too noisy. I didn't enjoy the breakfast as much as I expected before the stay. Also I felt that quality of the room decoration was poor; the interior of the room looked cheap. For example, the use of film-coated plywood on all the furniture did not look good.

Stayed two nights in late June. Chose this one for its location, which is on a small quiet park on a small peninsula, next to restos and huge supermarket, open to 22h. And its price, which I thought was quite reasonable.
Walk to everywhere, such as botanical gardens, cathedral, and central railway only 12 mins away.
We even walked there from Viking terminal, with bags. 30 min walk but with sight-seeing took us an hour. Mind the cobblestones.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Interior room was sensible, spacious and quiet, with view to courtyard.
Breakfast had too much choice! Something for everyone, esp children.
Leaving for the airport was a matter of walking across the main road, buying an ABC ticket from the machine in the metro station, and catching the orange 600 bus direct, as advised by staff. Worked perfectly.
Would definitely choose to stay there again if we were ever back in Helsinki.

Very peaceful location but still very close to city center. All the bus and tram stops are just around the corner, so this is ideal for setting up your weekend base.

Rooms were little outdated but if you plan to explore the city, should not matter too much.

Hello Is it bus 615 ? Is it easy to find at the airport? Also how do we know when to get off? Thanks Elaine
Yes, it’s just from the exit of terminal two, there’s public bus signs at the exit door. Once you go outside, there’s a few lanes of bus stop, cross the first road and you could find stop 615. Bus runs every half an hour from airport to city. Bus punctual. You can pay cash to driver or buy ticket from machine at stop. Takes 15 stops to Hakaniemi. Get off the bus, going straight to the corner of McDonald, turns right walk two to three minutes. Scardic Paasi in front of you

It is about 3,5 km to Lansisatama (West Harbour) from Scandic Paasi, 45 minute walk. Tram number 7 goes close by (a couple of minutes walk) the Scandic Paasi to the harbour. Search HSL (Helsinki region transportation) for more information for the timetables.
