This hotel has succeeded in maintaining some of its old charm and combining elements that bring the hotel to the 21st century. The rooms are warm and their decor is inviting. The breakfast leaves a little to be desired for. The only issue I had with this hotel, really, was the lack of airconditioning in the guest rooms.

Being the oldest continuously run hotel in Helsinki, it is no surprise that Seurahuone is located in an old historical building that has some of the old world charm with old fashioned ornate decor, impressive stair cases etc. The rooms vary in size and lay-out. No air conditioning. There is a lot of traffic in front of the hotel, because...

Great hotel, very centrally located. We had a club room on the 5th floor which overlooked the railway station & square, yes there was some noise in the evening (thanks to a street entertainer) but once the windows were closed the room was sound proofed. The room was spacious and very comfortable (king size bed, 2 chairs for relaxing, desk...

I stopped here a night with my husband for our wedding anniversary as we were lucky to get overnight childcare which is very rare for us, so it was a big occasion for us. I choose Seurahuone for its history and decor, I love the elegance of the place. Its a beautiful hotel, the corridors and stairs are amazing and...

As many have said, location is superb if you are travelling by train and also for getting around the city. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. The room was fine- but a bit difficult to get it cool enough to sleep. we came back for one night after visiting Russia and were pleased to be given...

Had a pleasant weekend staying at this hotel. The location next to the train station can't be beat, even if it is a tad child-unfriendly. The nightclub next door is advertising the times for the girls to go on stage prominently. The staff of the hotel is friendly, and the room we stayed in was comfortable and quite large. Some...

While the building is impressive, the room felt tired with old carpets and the place could do with a refurbishment. Internet did not work at all on my first night, and then only in the lobby on the 2nd. Not convenient at all on a business trip. Breakfast was a bit disappointing. Location is very convenient, right opposite the railway...

Just returned from a long weekend in Helsinki staying at the Seurahuone hotel. The hotel is ideally situated just a stones throw from central station (if you are arriving from the airport the Finnair bus drop off is just over the road) I had read some comments about small bathrooms and "had it's day" but have to say although our...
