Whatever brings you to Helsinki, Klaus K Hotel welcomes you to the heart of the city where the old Art Nouveau buildings meet the modern Scandinavian life style. The hotel’s design is inspired by Finland’s national epic, Kalevala. Throughout the hotel’s interior there are small details that bring you to the world of Finnish folklore and mythology. Mystique, passion, desire, and envy are themes that have inspired Kalevala stories as well as us. Klaus K Hotel is the first Lifestyle Preferred hotel in Helsinki. Some of our very unique rooms are created in collaboration with the most famous Finnish contemporary artists.
Star ratings are intended to indicate the general level of features, amenities, and services to expect. This property is classified according to Giata.
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.

Visiting here after a long break and first time with kids. Have to say that why haven’t i came back earlier. Location is very good, rooms are nice and decorated with heart. There is still hints of finnish design everywhere. And breakfast tastes always fresh and finnish like grandma had it always cooked in Finland. Kids also gave two thumbs up for this.

Hotel Klaus K is one of the most central hotels in inner city Helsinki. The hotel is situated almost next to the Esplanade Park. However, traffic noise didn't disturb our sleep quality at all. The gym of the hotel is open 24/7. They also have a rooftop bar named Sky Terrace. It is open in the summer and on Fridays they have DJ nights.
This hotel has very many different room types. We had a Sky Loft Room and this review is based on it. Sky Loft Rooms are medium priced rooms and value for money is extremely good. Our room was very big and very high. We had a sofa area with a Lavazza coffee machine and an elevated bedroom area with a King size bed. Stylish design lamps were also an important part of our room. Besides, we even had a ceiling window.
Our bathroom was very good, too. We had a rain shower and the shower area was separated with glass walls. So the whole bathroom wasn't wet after showering. There was a design lamp even in the bathroom.
The breakfast buffet was excellent and the breakfast restaurant wasn't too crowded. In addition to normal breads, croissants, cheeses, sausages, bacon, porridge, cereals, vegetables, fruits, juices etc. also Karelian rice pastries, chia pudding, salmon, homemade hummus, homemade mushroom salad, blue cheese, smoothie (mango, peach, coconut, agave syrup), exotic fruits (e.g. passion fruit) and crepes with homemade jams were available. I especially loved homemade chocolate cake. It looked like brownies but it was much more delicious. This is one of the best and one of the most stylish breakfast buffets I have ever had.
Early check-in and late check-out may be possible (subject to availability). We paid 50 euros extra and we could keep our room until 5 p.m. So also our last day was very relaxing without too much bustle.
This hotel is almost perfect. I honestly recommend it to everybody.

We rented the Klaus K dine dining room for my husband's dinner and stayed in the sky loft room for two nights. Communication with the hotel before the party was via e-mail and was sometimes quite confusing. In the end, however, everything went ok, although there was an adjustment with the payments at the end and we have to wait for the refunds for a while. However, the refunds were received and everything about it is now ok.
Respa always had good service and you could get more coffee and milk in the room as needed. It was also possible to get other small items in the room (comb, shampoo, etc.).
As a customer, you got a -20% discount at the nearby Aimo car park, which eased the party stress. The menu ordered in advance was tasty and vegan and other diets were also well taken into account. The hotel's own standard breakfast was rich and tasty.
In the sky loft room, there were strange holes in the crab wall, I assume there was a railing or similar that came off. The steps were really slippery when wearing woolen socks (I once pulled my slippers properly) and there were no brakes.

Our room was very comfortable and spacious by Nordic standards. We had a couch at the end of our bed which was convenient for putting things on. The location is walking distance to anything you need and there is a tram stop right there. The breakfast was great. It's also a gay-friendly hotel if you care about this. The bath/shower is too high, making it hard to walk in. Also there is no A/C. We did not need it but the room was pretty warm in September so I think it would be a problem in the summer. We tried opening the double windows but we were right on the street and it was too loud to keep them open.

We stayed here on two non consecutive nights during our Finland trip and enjoyed our stay both times. The front desk staff was very polite and helpful and the breakfast was excellent. It was also well kept up with staff removing dirty plates and restocking quickly. The room was clean, comfy and quiet each time.

The hotel was in a great location, right in the city centre. The room was comfortable and offered coffee and tea bags. The breakfast had a variety of delicacies and was always of exceptional quality. The only downside is that the room's windows were not very insulated and some air was infiltrating the room. Cleaning of the room could have been more meticulous sometimes. Overall, a very good experience!

Perfect hotel to get to know the city. Centrally located, it offers comfortable and perfectly soundproofed rooms, a varied and quality breakfast, large common areas. Beautiful terrace on the top, although not usable in winter.

The hotel experience started all the way from hotel reception when we were greeted with such enthusiasm that it felt like we were really expected at Klaus K!
We had reserved a Sky Balcony room, since we were hoping for a room that would be quiet and have great views to urban Helsinki. We weren’t disappointed.
The room was amazing with a comfortable king size bed, a large balcony and even a hot tub for two in the bathroom. The room was separated from the general corridor with another door making the room really quiet. Every detail in the room seemed really carefully planned to make it as cozy as possible. I even enjoyed a cup of coffee on the balcony, despite the crisp February weather in Finland.
Breakfast was pretty nice and we were able to choose a less crowded time slot for that.
We will definitely revisit this hotel in the future as well and we can recommend spending a relaxing staycation at Klaus K!

I can only rave about this hotel. It is located in a very convenient location (centrally, within walking distance of all major spots in the center, and there is also a tram station for 3 lines right in front of the hotel). The atmosphere in the hotel is very pleasant, not least because of the kindness of the staff and the tasteful design, which conveys a good mood in its colorfulness and expresses the special philosophy of the hotel. Everything was perfectly clean, I had a quiet room in the courtyard, the breakfast buffet was more than extensive, the food fresh and delicious.

Couldn't fault this hotel at all...great welcome as soon as we arrived, and we arrived really early, 9.30am...the girl at the desk advised that they didn't have any superior rooms available this early, but for 15eur we could upgrade to a deluxe and get in immediately...we grabbed this....beautiful big room with everything you could possibly need. They also keep supplies in the lobby that you can help yourself to any time. This was all well explained at breakfast. We picked the hotel for the location and I don't think you can do any better in Helsinki. To top it off, the buffet breakfast was probobly the best we've had in 2 weeks of travel through norway and finland. Would stay here again...

The room I and all my friends stayed, had a bathroom. Still it might be good to check in advance. For the first question also I do not know since I was on my own in my room. Sorry that I could not help much.

Visit HSL on-line and download the app. Buying from the platform is 5 euros which accepts all forms of payment. From Central Station go to the Kluuvi, about a four minute walk to one of the best hotels in Helsinki. have a good trip.
Mobile ticket off the app is 4.2 euros. Buying from the platform is 5 euros which accepts all forms of payment. From Kluuvi I walked to Klaus K as it was short or you can go west from Kluuvi and take tram 1 south for 2 stops for no additional charge as your ticket should still be valid.
There are more places to choose from in the Helsinki area.
