Our society group of golfers arrived this week for three night stay at this amazing Golf hotel.
We were very well received and the staff could not have been more helpful.
We had arranged with Campbell Lamont an all inclusive booking with B&B evening meal we even had our own small dining room with a different set menu for both of the first two evenings.
On the last night it was arranged for us to go to the on site Italian/Mexican restaurant which was amazing the wine flowed on all nights which was also included in our package.
Everything was catered for the golf course in good condition with plenty of birds watching and wildlife. The surrounding areas of the course and hotel areas were immaculate and staff working continuously.
Also a very large pool plenty of sun beds.
The bar area with plenty of seating bar prices high but that’s normal.
So a throughly enjoyable short stay… thank you La Finca to all your hard working staff 👍👏👏

Stayed here on a short business trip. Centred around a golf course and apartment and villa styled properties a lot of which is still under construction. The rooms are reasonably well proportioned but I found the hotel very sterile with quite basic furnishings and floor coverings in communal areas which certainly doesnt scream 5 star. You'd definately need a car here. I ate in the combined Mexican/Italian restaurant which was just ok. The bar and breakfast staff in particular were very welcoming.

This hotel is breathtaking, myself and my now husband got married on the grounds at La Finca and it was everything and more that we had hoped for. The staff were exceptional and so friendly! We had all our friends and family over and everyone couldn't get over just how beautiful the hotel and the grounds were. We had our ceremony outdoors at the beautiful aisle beside the pool, the drinks reception behind the glass room, our dinner in the glass room and the after's in the Suite Lounge Club. They were all close to each other only a few seconds walking distance which was important to us. We will both be eternally greatful to the hotel and the staff for giving us a dream wedding to remember, thank you so much!

This hotel is absolutely not worth 5 stars. The reception staff is very friendly, but the atmosphere in the lobby and breakfast area is cold and echoey. There is no soundproofing between the room and the hallway; you can hear everything. At 8 a.m., the music starts in the hallway, and everything can be heard from the room. Wires are sticking out of the bathroom mirror, and the electricity went out due to water issues. My wife requested an extra bedsheet from the reception, and it arrived dirty. This hotel is not worth the price, and I would not recommend it.

As a group of 4 golfers we recently spent a week at this hotel having booked on a half board basis and it's fair to say that none of us will return, nor recommend to family and friends.
The staff were friendly and helpful, however the impression we got was that there were not enough staff on duty, particularly in the evenings, which resulted in poor/delayed service simply because the staff that were on duty were run off their feet covering different roles. We got the impression that management were not as supportive to their employees as they should be but that's another story.
The hotel itself is lovely, with outdoor areas and grounds clean, tidy and well kept. However, and it's a big however, the evening menu served in the buffet restaurant fell well short of even being acceptable. With the exception of breakfast which was good, the dinner menu was dreadful both in choice and quality. Of the many years I have been holidaying abroad I can honestly say that this was the worst food I've ever had at a hotel buffet restaurant and fell well short of the 5* that La Finca claim to be. Infact I would go as far as to say a 3* hotel would fair much better.
It turns out we wrongly assumed that the half board package we booked with a 38 euro dinner allowance (excluding drinks) could be transferred to the other restaurants featured on the La Finca website, paying any excess over that amount or perhaps an additional supplement. This again has been my experience at other hotels. However on arrival we were advised that this was not the case and that all meals were to be taken in the buffet restaurant. As an example starters were generally limited to pate, meat and cheese or salad. For main the pork (or was it chicken) kebabs may have looked good, but my jaw ached by the time I had chewed my way through the dry, tough meat. Another evening the white fish cooked fresh on the hot plate I struggled to get my knife through; it was like trying to cut through a piece of rubber. The desserts were slightly better but hardly varied from one evening to the next i.e. profiteroles, cheesecake and almond cake. A scoop of ice cream would've been appreciated especially with the dry cake. Why no ice cream?
At an additional cost to ourselves we ate at Frijolino one evening which was good but you must book. The food at the club house was also good but currently closes at 7pm. Another evening we took a taxi to Villamartin and ate in a lovely restaurant there at half the cost of the hotel buffet restaurant.
On a final note, if you are considering this hotel for your next holiday/stay then my advice would be to book bed and breakfast only. However for us, an extremely disappointing experience so we won't be returning.
Come on La Finca; you can and should be better!

Response from Isabel GarcĂa, Sales at Hotel La Finca Resort
Responded Oct 13, 2021
Dear Linda Jane, please accept our most sincere apologies that we did not deliver the service you were expecting for La Finca Resort. Regarding your helpful feedback on our buffet service dinner, please note that unfortunately we had a staff problem over that weekend you stayed with us, so sadly we couldn’t quite deliver the standard we normally deliver at this Hotel. From that Saturday, we have been improving our service and quality to commit to our 5* standards. There is a shortage of staff throughout Spain in the hospitality sector and we are working to solve it weekly. Regarding the option of having dinner at our other restaurant “Frijolino”, please note that when booking your meal plan it is possible to have a Set Menu at our Italian – Mexican Restaurant, but pre-booking is essential as the restaurant is quite popular for our local Resort clients. We are making sure that our staff provides the correct information regarding the Half Board options available when clients are on site and checking into the Hotel to avoid any confusion. Thank you for your essential feedback and we really appreciate your comments which help us to learn and rectify our management. We very much hope to see you again and we can make up for the below par experience you had at the Buffet restaurant. Best Regards, Isabel GarcĂa - Commercial Director

The 5 stars are very questionable. Maximum 3 !!! The room worn out, the furniture partially damaged. The bed linen had holes. The cleanliness in the room was poor.None of the reception felt responsible. Breakfast very simple and mediocre quality, coffee was self-service. In the evening in the restaurant only receive lukewarm food. At the pool, broken floor coverings with wobbly boards, nails came out. Risk of accident. A taped-off Gulli. As an excuse we were not charged 1 rental trolley worth about 6 euros.

I recently stayed at La Finca Resort for a wedding, we arrived the day of the wedding so was rushing around. We asked at check in where the wedding would be taking place at the resort so we was able to ensure we made it on time, to be told that they wasn't sure where it was. We then asked the staff at the bar who also couldn't help where the wedding was. We was then late to the wedding due to nobody at the hotel being able to help where to go. The hotel in itself was a clean hotel but very quiet and hardly any staff.
When I left the resort I realised I had forgotten a number of items of belongings from the room so called the hotel to be told there is nothing in the room. I called again the next day and was told again that there is nothing more they can do my belongings are not in the room.
Overall I would class the staff at this resort very unhelpful.

Very nice hotel and golf course. A real paradise for golfers . Friendly staff . Nice rooms with balcony, bath and a very nice rainshower. Excellent Mexican-Italian fusion restaurant in the resortl ( Frijolino) . Breakfast also very good. The resort's other restaurants were not yet open or seemed less pleasant; We disn't try them out, so no opinion on those

The spa is a mandatory experience!! The super relaxing massage cabin, I was treated by Paula, a charming girl with golden hands! The water circuit, the Turkish bath and the sauna are more than recommended. We will definitely return!!!

Not in the immediate vicinity but a nice selection of within a twenty minute walk or five minute drive. Several restaurants offering different types of food - small and comfortable and so comfortable. Olivos was our favorite.

Local bars and restaurants are situated in La Finca village which is a leisurely 10-15 minute stroll, there is a path adjacent to the 1st fairway that leads onto a straight road up to the village, for the last 8 years we have been in June, prior to that it was May,we have not visited in March but I imagine they are open as a lot of local ex pats use the village, hope this is of assistance to you.
There are more places to choose from in the Algorfa area.
