Really nice modern hotel - great staff, comfortable rooms, very clean, lots of free parking, and nice breakfasts. Also very convenient walking distance of around 5 minutes into the centre of town and the main shopping restaurant street. ( but be aware it is at the top of a steep hill which could challenge some people on the return -...

We stayed for 2 nights during our trip in Iceland. I booked the deluxe room and it was a good choice. Room was comfortable, great views, separate bathroom from the washroom, comfy bed. We had full breakfast buffet included, ate a dinner in the hotel's restaurant and we're pretty happy with both. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Highly...

Very nice, upscale, and clean hotel. Centrally located and easy to walk all over town from here. The room was really perfect - a nice comfy bed, a clean couch, and a great mountain view. I'd love to stay here again! The check in staff was helpful and pointed us in a great direction for dinner.

The rooms are very comfortable and offer plenty of storage. Soap, shampoo and conditioner are all L'Occitane brand and conveniently fitted in the room. Plenty of towels, pillows and comforters. The radiator in the room keeps the temperature perfect. If you are a light sleeper, bring an eyeshade because the green light on the smoke detectors strobe very brightly!! Otherwise,...

New appearing hotel with modern decor. Rooms were compact. In our room, the bathroom layout was unusual with the shower in 1 corner of the bedroom and the toilet / sink in the other corner of the bedroom. The toilet was partitioned by a sliding glass door which did a poor job of isolating the toilet from the rest of...

Dear Kevin Thank you for your review. Your comments are appreciated. The policy of the Icelandair hotels has been to have the breakfast not included. We also offer the possibility for ,,grab and go" breakfast with; sandwiches, Skyr, juice and cofffee from the lobby desk. I am sorry that this was not offered to you upon departure. Hope that you...

I would recommend his hotel. The room was kind of small but very efficiently designed. It was perfect for me. It had everything I needed. The hotel staff was very friendly. The room was exceptionally clean. The breakfast dining area and dishes were very clean. It is conveniently located to town and airport.

This is a really nice hotel, the rooms are well laid out & clean, as is everything in Iceland. The staff are really helpful & English is their second language. The restaurant is fantastic, for a hotel .... quite surprising. It is SO much easier to eat in the hotel, there really isn't too much in town & it's quite...

Dear guest, thank you for your kind review and we are very glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us, enjoyed your meal at our restaurant Aurora and even got to see the Northern Lights from your window - you were really lucky there. Best regards, Icelandair Hotel Akureyri

Rooms are a little larger than standard Icelandic hotel rooms. More the size of chain motels in the U.S. The hotel is about 5 miles from Akureyri, so you get a nice view of the northern lights if they are out. The cable had not yet been hooked up, even though the hotel was over a year old. That didn't...

This hotel was about a 5 minute walk into town on a fairly steep hill. It is located across the street from the geo-swimming pool. The front desk staff was very friendly and gave good suggestions. Rooms were small but adequate. Would stay here again and would definitely recommend.

This was the 3rd Icelandair Hotel we had stayed in and it was by far the most modern. Location is convenient by car, with car park. 15minute walk to city centre. Rooms were modern and nicely designed. I liked the small table overlying the bed - can do work or to eat. The only downside was the shower and bathroom...
