Average hotel below the standards of other Icelandair hotels. The rooms facing the car park (half of the rooms) are extremely noisy due to 1) screaming children on the camping located next to the hotel, 2) people pushing their car engine on the road or car park nearby. It is by no way possible to have the windows open at...

As expected from a hotel that is part of the Hilton family of properties, this is a well organized, clean and accommodating hotel. Rooms are spartan in design but have all the amenities one expects. Lots of pillows, comfy bed and coffee maker. Dinner was tasty but service a little slow between courses, The breakfast buffet is plentiful- even a...

Nice modern hotel located just outside of the city center. Check-in was quick, staff very friendly and English speaking, free parking on the hotel grounds. Light, clean and airy scandinavian style rooms. Beds are comfy and have duvet covers with an extra icelandic woolen throw just in case..... The curtains weren't darkening the room too well which can be a...

I enjoyed all three of the Icelandair hotels we visited during our 2-week road trip around Iceland. This one seemed particularly well-designed, with a spacious bathroom and a well-conceived system for hanging clothes. I appreciated the interesting art, the informational features on Icelandic history, and the L'occitane bath products that all the Icelandair hotels offer. The breakfast buffet was better...

This formal hotel, just outside the city center is a more business-like hotel than a boutique or romantic hotel. The reception is not aware of the differende between a double and a twin bed, but for the rest it is a comfortable place with not too big rooms. But the rooms are adequate for a stay. You may open the...

Dear guest, Thank you for taking some time to review our hotel and nice to hear that you enjoyed the atmosphere. Regarding the type of beds, a double bed is one bed 160cm or 180cm wide and a twin bed is two beds, each 90cm wide (European style). We truly appreciate your kind words about our breakfast and our staff,...

Some visitors may balk at the location well uphill from the main drag in Akureyri, but we enjoyed the short stroll and prime location across from the highly recommended public city pool. Nothing's too far away, and the views are great from either side of the hotel. The rooms have a nice Nordic aesthetic and the property itself is pretty...

Dear Bluegrass. Unfortunately we do not have the US sports channel. In Akureyri there are a couple of sportsbar but they mainly focus on the UK Championship league. So a live stream from a wifi would be your option.

Looking forward seeing you here in Akureyri, have a nice journey

Hi - given the right weather and cloud condition you might see them from the mountain side. We have had numerous guests that have been able to see them right from their room or our garden area.
