This was a quirky hotel undergoing construction. Very minimalistic, though I take that's the Icelandic way. Met our basic needs: cleanliness, helpful staff, and safe. Bonus: breakfast was included. Lots of places to eat nearby (walking distance). Bus nearby to go into city center + excursion pick up. Would stay here again.

Cant wait to go back! 2 families went together and if it wasnt for the shortage of accommodation near Vik for 9 we would b going back in the summer. Amazing country in the snow, fabulous but extremely expensive food, really friendly people

A very good, basic hotel, perfect as a base for visiting other parts of the region. The bed was clean and comfy, with a kettle and fridge in the room. The hot water is piped directly from the thermals and smell of sulphur takes a bit of getting used to; the cold water is the most delicious tap water I...

We stayed for five nights in the middle of March and it was great, just what we needed. The room was clean when we arrived and was cleaned daily. The bath was brilliant, especially after a chilly day! The TV was good and has a film channel which was nice if you just want to relax after a busy day....

My wife, our friends and I just came back from a wonderful trip to Iceland. If you get the chance, go. However, the accommodations arranged by Fleetway Travel left a little to be desired. The flight going from Boston to Iceland arrived at 4:30 a.m. – no big deal really. NOTE: Do your research about WOW Airlines it will save...

I stayed here for a long weekend as part of a package deal with Fleetway travel. The hotel was very pleasant, with spacious rooms and comfy bed. The previously mentioned work on the entrance has been completed and as a result, we had no issues with this. The breakfast is basic but satisfactory. The staff were great and bent over...

I checked in on the 14/03/17 & checked out on the 21/03/17. When I arrived I was greeted with a warm welcome by one of the staff members, she was bubbly, lively & very fun to talk to, plus her English was very good. The breakfast is very nice & a good way to start the day. I didn't have...

The 3 star Hotel Hafnarfjordur was just what we wanted being about 30 minutes bus journey from the centre of Reykjavik and a similar journey from the airport. B&B only but there are options nearby to get food for the evening. Our inclusive Northern Lights tour was cancelled on the first nights stay but rebooked the following evening which was...

The hotel was included on a special inclusive deal with WOW out of Toronto. Hafnarfjordur itself is well-worth discovering especially if you are waiting for your room to be ready (a common occurrence given that you arrive at the hotel in the early morning). There are charming coffee shops just down the hill in town (turn left out of the...
