We stayed for 2 nights in the newer building, but the coffee and sitting area was in the older building which appeard to be just as nice. Very comfortable room for Iceland. An onsite restaurant was well run with a good variety offered on the menu. As a working farm, their lamb was excellent. They also had fresh fish which...

This hotel was very clean, peaceful, and comfortable. It was the perfect location for entering the Vatnajokull National Park, and the restaurant's Atlantic Char was absolutely superb. This was our favorite place we stayed the entire trip, and I hope to get back soon!

We booked an ice cave tour with Extreme Iceland and the meeting point is at the reception area of this hotel. Considering our primary home base was around Reykjavik, a five hour drive away, we figured staying here would be the easiest way to make sure we were on time for our excursion. The reception area is home to the...

Beautiful hotel where we luckily caught the northern lights! Their restaurant is great & is connected to a museum where you can pick up an audio guide and walk through the exhibits at your leisure. The facilities are very clean and the breakfast was delicious (with great variety!). I would highly recommend this hotel. A great place to stay if...

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights - based on TA reviews which indicated this was the best lodgings in the area near Jokulsarlon, and for the fact that this hotel is the meeting point for a glacier hiking and ice caving tour we booked for (how convenient - FYI, we booked with Glacier Adventure, great guides and tour)! Our...

My husband and I stayed here for one night as part of an organised trip. It's only 10 minutes away from Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon, we had a room right by the sea! The rooms are spacious and clean, and the shower is nice and warm. The food was good and they catered for vegetarians too. Breakfast consisted of cereal, hot...

This country resort is located in a country setting surrounded by a huge in land lake and beautiful mountains. The surrounding scenery is really beautiful and pristine. This resort is...

My wife and I stayed here for a couple of nights around New Years Eve 2016 while we ventured around the area, visiting the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon and Skaftafell National Park. Customer service was great. Easy to check in/out and offer plenty of help when suggesting what to see. We found the room was lovely and had plenty of space,...

My tour booked me in a shared room at Hali Country Hotel, the rooms are in separate buildings from reception and dining, and best to drive up as there's no lighting leading up the roads. The room was large and well-appointed, warm, excellent hot water, well-insulated, comfy beds. WiFi free. Coffee and tea available in the building lobby. We had...

We have stayed at this property on two separate occasions during the past 12 months. It is an ideal place to stay while visiting the Jökulsárlón and Fjallsárlón Glacier Lagoons. The accommodations at this property are now located in two separate buildings. The buildings are situated together near the waterfront. This is quite some distance from the highway and a...
