We had a long day and long difficult drive along the South (approx 6-8 hrs from Reyjavik) so we did not get the most out of this brilliant hotel. Very kindly ringing to check we were OK and we were safe was lovely. As it was my husbands 40th we kindly had a nice cold bottle of something bubbly which...

We had an amazing time staying for 3 days at Glacier World. The property surrounded by glaciers, farmland with Icelandic horses and beautiful mountains is a breathtaking setting. The hotel owners were extremely welcoming and hospitable. There's a great breakfast with fresh baked homemade bread every morning and we were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights all three nights...

B&B in the middle of nowhere. Nearby the glacier. Nice view. Very kind owners, warm reception. Natural free hot tub as hotel guest. Great & large breakfast. Free wifi. Owners are still expanding. Town nearby.

The hotel has direct view of the glaciar and is 5 minutes away from the hot pots. The rooms are confourtable, clean and warm. It has a breakfast self-service and the staff was very kind with us. Recomemded

We were looking for something to do after dinner one evening, and the hotel staff recommended going to the Glacier World hot pots. They apologized in advance for the condition of the changing rooms (described as "not so nice"), but we didn't let that detract from our visit. It was easy to find...just follow the signs. We arrived shortly before...

Rooms are quite modern, clean and efficient. The hot springs are a wonderful experience. But really, the best part was watching the northern lights over the nearby glacier--fantastic experience and great atmosphere.

Arrived on family trip in mid October. Had not realised that despite the name it organises NO glacier trips. Hot tubs a short drive away, not great in Autumn as one gets the impression from website are part of hotel. Staff helpful but no kitchen or communal area so after breakfast are left with just your very small room within...

Reached Glacierworld after a very long day traveling. The hotel is at the end of a track when you arrive the hotel appearance is very disappointing. On check in met very nice young guy who seemed to be running hotel single handed, checked us in, served dinner, saw him again helping with breakfast. The room was functional, more a hostel...

Glacierworld is located about a 20 minute drive from Hofn. It is closer to the glacier than Hofn, but otherwise isolated. The glacial lagoon is a 4km drive away, on a gravel road. We did it twice in a 2wd car with no problem. When we were there the restaurant was closed for dinner so we had to drive to...

We did not stay at the guesthouse however we did do the ATV tour that is offered there. It was a 90 minute tour where our guide took us through his family's land. We saw a dormant volcano and also the glacier. Luckily it was clear when we got to the top so we were able to enjoy the views...
