We loved our stay at the Hotel Berg. The beds were just right: not too hard, not too soft. And the pillows were heavenly. Very quiet. In fact, I have not heard this level of quiet for decades. Mind you, it's winter. But still, enjoyed the peace and quiet. We loved having in-room temperature control. The full breakfast was so... More

Pleasant location on the edge of the harbour, short walk into town and a short drive to the airport. The hotel lounge is peaceful, with an open fire - like a welcoming living room. Despite all the comings and goings the place still feels relaxed. You don't hear the airport which is virtually next door. We had the light breakfast... More

We booked this hotel for the last 2 nights of our 7 night stay in Iceland. We arrived mid afternoon, and the hotel appeared eerily quiet and deserted (a bit like the hotel from The Shining!). This was an unfair first impression of the hotel though as it was simply a very quiet and relaxing environment. There is a lovely,... More

Stayed for one night as close to the airport. Very nice room; clean and comfy. Early breakfast option is a good idea. Would stay again. Nice views; saw aurora borealis at night and first thing in the morning. Free tea and coffee selection available in the lounge. Hot tub, but didn't use it as brief stay only. Welcoming staff; can... Needed to catch an early flight out and this was the perfect place to stay, Charming, cozy, very friendly attentive staff member who checked us in that night (after our 3 hour float in the nearby Blue Lagoon!). He was up preparing the yummy included breakfast the next morning and drove us to KEF in the hotel shuttle car. The... More

Based on where we staid in Iceland I could give this hotel 5 stars but for me 5 should be 5. It is conveniently located - near an airport and 25 mins to a Blue Lagoon. Family run with very friendly people. Rooms are spacious based on Icelandic standards. I would say that I was one of the owners I... More

We landed at about 7pm so wanted to stay near the airport , this hotel is about 10 mins away and the hotel pick you up free of charge which is a lovely touch. We also wanted to do the Blue Lagoon the next morning before driving off to our next destination , this worked perfectly as it was only... More

I realize that most people visiting Iceland will prefer to stay in Reykjavik rather than Keflavik unless they need to catch an early flight. We chose to stay at Hotel Berg not to catch an early flight but because we had already "done" Reykjavik and wanted to escape the city. We could not have chosen a better place to stay.... More

Great breakfast, very clean, friendly people, ideal for the place to see the n/lights when they show in the area without going off on a trip. Close to airport, in fact i shouldnt give any more praise or it will be booked up when we decied to come back , and we will be back.
