We choose this guest house for the Location and we were not disappointed. It was near to the city center / church /Restaurants. There are 3 floors to the guest hourse (no lift) so you do have to carry your luggage up. We were lucky as we were on the ground floor. Breakfast is on the 3rd floor - it... More

Seems to have been recently updated, and everything is very simple in a clean, modern hotel feel way. There are many floors but no lift, so keep that in mind if it may be trouble. We had a roomy family room with a set of bunk beds and a queen (?) bed and a seating ledge overlooking the street. It... More

We were here while a lot was happening, with the football team playing, then coming home to a big crowd. Odinn was just far enough away to be quiet, but so close we could come back easily to take a break from downtown activities. Staff/owners were very nice and helpful. The place was very clean and new looking inside. No... More

I could not have been happier here! The location was amazing, just a very short walk to downtown and the third floor breakfast room had incredible views of the city and the mountains in the distance. The breakfast was simple and healthy, and the proprietor was such an incredibly nice person. The rooms were simple but super clean, as were the... More

The location is terrific! On a relatively quiet side street, but within walking distance of everything downtown. VERY clean. Breakfast was delightful and the owners very kind and accommodating, especially when I had to wake them at 2 am to get in due to flight delays. The price for my room was right too. Very fair. They don't take credit... More

Great location, right in the middle of everything. Walking distance to all the shores and restaurants. Good prices. Owners are very nice people. Gave us great advice on restaurants near by. Have cash(dollars, Euros or local currency) at check in to pay for room. Would recommend to a friend.

This guesthouse was well-located. We paid the night before and were able to leave very early in the morning to catch a flight from Keflavik. Our room was on the second floor, so it was a bit of a hassle to carry our suitcases up the narrow staircase, but otherwise everything was great!

Location great--very close to city center. Our room was on 3rd level. The double bed was actually equivalent to an American king-sized bed. There were two comfy duvets-one for each side of the bed. Bumped-out picture window offered nice roof-top view and high ceiling made room feel bigger. Everything very clean and well-kept. We stayed 4 nights--our room was not... More

Excellent communication from Olafur right after booking, the house, room, shared bathroom, and shared kitchen were all clean, comfortable, and made great use of natural light. There is some noise from street and adjacent rooms, so bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. Good hot water in the shower and radiator heat. From the top floor, you can... More

This is the perfect place to stay if you are visiting Reykjavik. The location is perfect to the main streets, the sea front, all the restaurants and the tours in the city. If you have a rental car there was plenty of parking all around the house. The house, rooms, and bathroom were super clean. The bed was comfortable as... More
