Good central location in the city, ideal for tour bus drop off points after excursions. We went on a short break to see northern lights (last moment trip booked via a secret escapes deal), the hotel was included. We are glad it did. Fantastic hotel, with wonderful staff, quirky art work everywhere. From outside it looks like an ordinary office...

This is not your expected Reykjavik hotel with modern designs, bright rooms and simple furnishings. This is where Europe meets Iceland. This hotel is a throwback to more traditional times. The hotel is not as bright as other hotels and probably for good reason. The hotel is a veritable art museum with some very good pencil portraits, and oil and...

The location is fantastic, just off the main street that runs through the tourist area of Reykjavik, and the staff are brilliant. The breakfast was fabulous, if a little repetitive, and the bar was quaint - a bit like visiting your grandparents house. Our stay was slightly marred by the fact that we were given a small room close to...

We stayed at this hotel 27/3/17- 30/3/17. It is a very elegant hotel with wood paneling in many of the reception rooms and with many works of art. We arrived and were welcomed in an extremely friendly way. This seemed to be the attitude of all of the staff we met - they were all very keen to be of...

Traveled through Iceland but made a 2-night stay at the Hotel Holt and it was very charming! I loved the classic lobby and restaurant area but also that they had modern-style rooms. Breakfast was the best I had while staying in Iceland; the spread varied from toast, croissants, and banana bread to Skyr, eggs (scrambled and hard boiled), bacon, and...

I would definitely go back to the Hotel Holt. For starters, the location is great. You can walk everywhere in downtown Reykjavik. The in-house restaurant smelled fantastic but we couldn't get a reservation. However the guy at the front desk sent us to a great place (where we saw Björk. Of course. By the way, in general we have found...

Great location only a five minute walk away from the Main Street. Lovely hotel with very helpful staff and a delicious breakfast. Trips can be organised through the hotel reception who are more than happy to help & had excellent recommendations & knowledge of the area. Nice touch with the selection of toiletries in the room too!

Very good in-house restaurant with great staff and chef. Very good location. Good breakfast. Brilliant art collection in all public rooms, and in bedrooms. But the hotel was let down by a tiny room, which was more akin to a motel.

Dear Tony N, Thank you very much for posting your review! I am sorry you were not satisfied with the room you booked. We do offer 2 types of larger rooms (jr. suites and suites) so I believe everyone should be able to find a room that fits their needs. That said, I am so happy to read that you...

Central hotel in quiet location with free parking. Friendly and very helpful reception staff. Extremely clean bedrooms/bathroom. Breakfast perfectly adequate, although nothing outstanding. May be more staff at breakfast is needed to avoid clutter of plates on table. Very nice bar and lounge area with comfortable seating. Kerbside appeal? New entrance carpet would be a good idea. Would I stay...

The walk to Laugavegur street with all the shops and restaurants is 4 blocks. The BSI bus terminal is a 10 minute walk. BSI is where all the airport and hotel transport buses go to or from the airport. The hotel is filled with art collected by the owner.
