This hotel was perfect for our three night stay. It has high standards on all fronts, food, rooms, decor, location etc but above all the reception staff we brilliant. Gave great advice, organised tours and transfers at a moments notice and we're just generally wonderful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a stay in the heart of...

Awesome, Awesome, Awesome, Awesome, AWESOME!! Did I mention this hotel is Awesome??? Rooms are very clean, very nice, the staff is extremely helpful and super nice. The walls in the rooms are a little thin, but this hotel location is perfect and easy to find. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to go to Iceland for fun.

Hotel didn’t strike me as a 4 star boutique. More of a 3 star hotel and very dated. Check in was smooth which I was grateful for as it was very late as I’d gone from the airport to the blue lagoon. Even though I had booked via an agent and not with the hotel directly, I was still given...

Slightly out of the way but that is OK. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms are large by european standards, comfortable, good breakfast included. One on the best stays I have had outside of the USA. Highly recommend the hotel.

Friendly hotel with helpful staff, all speaking English. The rooms were extremely comfortable with a varied all you could eat breakfast. There was a warm and friendly bar and a happy hour that was too good to miss. All local tours collected from the hotel and the reception staff made sure all went smoothly. Finally the location was excellent, a...

Upon check in there were quite a few people at the reception but Anna seemed to take care of everything at the same time. Pleasant and smiling lady, always eager to content the guests. The place is cosy, rooms are rather spacious Not in the luxury category but everything is at hand

Very comfortable hotel with lovely bar, restaurant, breakfast and staff. A little dated and dark but quiet quality in which everything works with unique decor of lots of original art work, very varied and interesting. Staff were friendly, efficient and helpful, nothing was too much effort. We stayed in a Junior suite which was very comfortable. Good varied choice at...

The hotel looks nothing special from the front and when you go inside looks all dark wood, a bit dark, but full of character. Some lovely lounging rooms to chill out in. However the bedrooms are modern, clean and comfortable. Close to the centre and restaurants. Friendly staff.

We are a group of 6 ladies recently returned from Iceland; very happy with this hotel, spotlessly clean and friendly staff who were only too willing to help with information on restaurants, trips etc. There was a slight mishap with our pre-arranged pick up from the airport when our driver didn't turn up to collect us but on contacting the...

Had a very comfortable stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and efficient, the rooms very comfortable, and the food excellent. It is located in a great position in the centre of Reykjavik but on a quiet street. It has an amazing art collection and library of wonderful old books, and very comfortable lounge with a real fire in...
