10 mins walk from busy centre, quiet rooms, good food , very helpful staff. We changed our booking , going out and returning earlier than scheduled. Nothing was a problem. Nice bar with good service , good selection of drinks too.We would go back.

We stayed at Holt for one night on a return to the US to get the flavor of staying in downtown Reykjavik. The Holt is an art museum turned hotel, and the staff was helpful and very pleasant. Our room was very clean, quiet, and had all the amenities we were looking for. If you are looking for a more...

Our stay at the remarkable Hotel Holt made us feel like we were a part of Iceland. An extraordinary collection of original Icelandic art covers every wall in the entire hotel so that everywhere you look you feel like a part of this unique country. The entire staff was super friendly and helpful. The rooms were small but very clean...

Hotel Holt is located about a five minute walk from the main shopping area of Reykjavik and has beautiful artwork on every floor and in every room. The rooms are small but fine for sleeping. The hotel is impressively clean and well cared for. The hotel staff are very accommodating and extremely helpful in booking tours and caring for the...

Our 24 hour stay in Reykjavik was greatly enriched by the excellent advice of the young, intelligent and super-friendly staff. They recommended and reserved a table at one of the best restaurants we've encountered in recent years, and were immensely helpful in every other respect. Our room was quiet and very well appointed. Highly recommended in every restpect.

Stayed here for 4 nights with my wife in April 2016. From the outside, the hotel doesn't look like much, but it really is something inside - dark panelled wood interior, well furnished, friendly staff and a rather swanky restaurant (which we never actually dined at in the end). The hotel itself is 5 minutes walk to the road which...

I was traveling with 4 other girlfriends and we had the junior suite with a sofa bed and another room with two beds. The location of this hotel was great--not a far walk to anything but off the main drag. (BTW, don't miss the bakery down the street for the homemade rye bread steamed in a geysir). The hotel itself...

We had a suite on the 3rd floor which was very spacious and had 5 original works of art hanging in the rooms. The hotel is located a few blocks from the shopping district in one direction and a few blocks from the Icelandic Museum and university in another. The public spaces have the feel of an English club with...

Thought the hotel could benefit from a bit of a re-vamp carpets a bit shredded in places. However it's an old hotel with lots of character. Great location for town. Ample breakfast in the morning. Rooms not huge but comfortable enough
