Though Priceline advertised this hotel as in town, it is not. You would need a car or a bus ride to get there. The room was large for Europe, the heat a bit too intense. If you are paying for the buffet breakfast, you could eat for hours and not need lunch. If you are looking for an intimate hotel,... More

Stayed here in December with friends as part of an easyJet 2 night deal. We expected a single bed and a double, but we're delighted to find 3 queen size beds! Very clean, very comfortable. Breakfast was included in the package and comprised of a decent buffet. Couldn't complain about it! Note: this hotel is a good 15 minute walk... More

Enjoyed 4 nights at this hotel. Lovely room on 6th floor, warm comfy beds (gorgeous cotton bedding) with everything you need. Breakfast was good, lots of choice, both hot and cold, which you need to set you up for your day of adventures. The hotel has a restaurant for evening meals or you can order burger and fries etc from... More

I should start by saying that the staff there was the best ever!!! They spoke english and helpful was an understatement. Great place to stay. Clean, with everything you would want including a spa on the lower floor. Our room had a window that you could open. With the heat on it was almost necessary for us to open it... More

My wife and I stayed in the Grand Hotel Reykjavik from the 14th-18th November. We had a room on the 3rd floor at the front of the hotel. The hotel is situated on a dual carriageway and the road noise was excessive. Some if not most of the vehicles were driving on studded tyres which meant we were unable to... More

Very friendly staff, always willing to help. Fantastic breakfast buffet with LOADS of variety. We felt very lucky this was included as everything in Iceland is VERY expensive. The bar also did happy hour from 5-7 at night with half price drinks. We had a superior room with an atrium view, the room itself was lovely with everything you could... More

Nice enough but nothing special. Quite a walk down town although there is a shuttle. Room was small, bathroom had a shower over the bath, air conditioning was quite noisy. Altogether underwhelming but clean and serviceable.

Gorgeous exterior and interior, staff were very friendly and the food in the restaurant is to die for. There was a problem with the fridge in our room but that was rectified straight away and they even gave us 2 free bottles of Carlsberg as a sorry. My only major problem with it was that, without air con, the room... More
