My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend as part of an IcelandAir package booked through Travelzoo. I was a little skeptical due to it's airport location, but if 3 propeller planes took off in the times we were in the room (before 9AM, after 8PM) over the course of 4 nights, that's a lot. As far as...

Just got back after 4 nights here - we had a fantastic time in Iceland, and this hotel had its ups and downs. This hotel has been done up downstairs and in certain rooms and looks fantastic - but we stayed in a standard room which was standard. The positives: - The beds were really comfy! The pillows were lovely...

Great hotel - location isn't the absolute best but still easy to get to downtown. The only thing that made the location difficult is when we were coming from all day tours or excursions with anticipation of the northern lights tours at night. We'd get back late and have little time to eat in between both tours. Luckily there is...

As we sit on the floor of the hallway with our bags waiting for a room we know we will not be here again. They were supposed to have a room by 10 and told us they have no idea when we will get one today. So it appears we have to cancel our noon excursion and sit with bags...

Let's start by saying this is our third trip to Iceland in 3 years. In the past we stayed at the Icelander Marinia which was excellent. Then the Center City Plaza, which was even better with location. We knew where this hotel was located but with the Icelandair package to Akureyi we had to stay here. Good thing we only...

I recently went to Reykjavik on a deal from Icelandair which included flight, hotel, the golden circle and northern light tours. I was limited in my choice of hotel, but was still pleasantly surprised with the hotel. The hotel is not too close to the city center, but there is a bus stop right across the street and the hotel...

We knew in advance that the hotel was not centrally located to downtown, but was either a free bus ride or a 20-30 minute walk away. That was ok, and we were anticipating walking most of the time. However, there was a heavy snowstorm the day before our arrival, so the streets and sidewalks were not walkable during our stay....

I was really surprised that this hotel fell into the "4 star" category because the exterior of the building and the inside of the rooms were both very outdated and basic. The lobby looked fresh, warm, and cozy, but the rooms were very small. It was a struggle for just one person to move around in the bathroom without having...

A decent hotel, room size is ok, includes breakfast , friendly staff , has plenty of parking . 10 minutes drive from the heart of city. this hotel is good for a night halt and price is too much for a night halt.
