Good location, only 20 min walk to the Harpa along the seashore and it has free parking. We stayed in a standard room #529 for 6 nights. Our room had a wonderful view of the ocean and mountains, but be prepared for a tiny room. It is 2m x 2m, enough to fit two narrow, but comfortable, single beds. Suitcases...

Dear vacationdrmr, Thank you for your review and for your stay. The standard rooms are quite small yes, they are about 10 square meters and are our inexpensive option. As you mentioned, they are simple but comfortable. Breakfast is included in the rates. Thank you for your kind comments regarding the effort from our staff, it is very much appreciated....

We stayed there for a week in March. The hotel has great location, and very close to the downtown. They have free breakfast, which saves lots of money, especially everything in Iceland are so expensive. Room is tiny, like less than half size of my kitchen in US, shower is for one person. I will bump into stuff whenever I...

Dear Chen L, Thank you very much for your review. We are delighted to hear that your stay with us was cozy and comfortable. You can borrow a hairdryer in the reception against a small deposit (2.000 isk). Please ask the reception staff about it the next time. We look forward to welcoming you again on your next visit. We had been booked into this hotel by our tour operator, so after doing my homework on trip advisor I decided it would pay us to upgrade, it meant more money but it was worth it. Our travelling companions didn't upgrade and had such small rooms you couldn't swing a cat, lol. Our room was what I would say was...

I would say that Cabin Hotel can be considered as one of Iceland and Reykjavik attractions. For sure, you won't find something like this anywhere in North America. They have so called "Standard room" (it is still a puzzle for me why something what does not exist anywhere else can be called "standard"). It seems that the person who designed...

Dear Leo_2630, Thank you for your candid review of your recent stay at hotel Cabin. We are disappointed to know that the standard rooms did not meet your expectations. We do often get comments regarding the size of the standard rooms; they are indeed small, but fully equipped and quite cozy. They are our cheapest option - you do get...

This hotel is ok for a two-start hotel, however, please note the following: -Rooms are mega-small. There is about 30 cm space between the bed and the wall, meaning that you have to move sideways if you want to pass through. -I have not trided breakfast so cannot comment on that -When we were trying to leave, reception told us...

As part of a Gate ! travel packaage, Hotel Cabin was our second choice as our first, choice hotel we wanted was booked full. Staff was courteous and helpful. We did pay an upcharge of $35/night more for a deluxe room and we were glad we did. I believe the shower in standard rooms are the size of a phone...

As others have mentioned, some of the rooms are quite small! Like being in the lowest class on a ship. Suitcase has to go under the bed as there is no space! I was a single in a room with twin beds and used the second bed for my clothes. The bath had a tiny shower. No space to put...

As others have mentioned, these are small rooms. Similar in size to what you would find on a cruise ship. That said, they were very functional and the beds were comfortable. For a place to sleep and store our bags it was perfect. The location is good and parking was free. Easy 15-20 minute walk to get downtown and several...

Cabin is the true name. The rooms are so small as if you would travel by an older ship. Walls are very thin, you can hear everything what is going on your floor. Even feel that.
