Price was low in comparison to other hotels. Room was very small, no place to store or open a suitcase. There were many high school groups so it was noisy at night. Nothing warm to eat for breakfast, corridors not very clean. But they have bar, they may organise car rental or flybus for you.

I was booked in this hotel by my tour operator "Discover the World". It was terrible. There was no Wi-Fi in my room. I had to come down to the lobby to have access. It was chaotic. The staff at the reception were not very efficient. I left my key at the reception when I headed out to downtown Reykjavik....

We paid for the more expensive room which was an OK size, although a little basic. Everything about the hotel is quite basic, but serviceable and would stay here again. The view from the room was great though, right over the bay and the mountains. It's quite far out from the town and most of the hotels - maybe 30...

Dear DaveSwin, Thank you for the review about hotel Cabin and for your stay. Yes, the walk from the hotel to the city center can take some time but like you said the bus is a great way to get around town. I agree with you the view from some of our hotel rooms are amazing. Glad to hear that...

Only here for one night at the start of a trip, room was perfectly adequate for 2 adults if a little small - it was clean and comfortable, no issues. And it had a view over the bay. Breakfast was a typical buffet style but plenty of choice - no need to go hungry! Hotel has free car parking and...

Very basic, good place for a stop over or just to grab some sleep. Rooms are small and simple and ours was between two corridors so had no window to outside which was strange but generally not a problem. Used a lot for school visits because its cheap and simple but for a holiday in Reykjavik i'd give it a...

Full disclosure: when my flight was delayed 36 hours, the airline put me up here so I did not actually pay for a room. If I had paid the going rate for this hotel, I'd be sad. Some rooms have no windows, others are tiny, the walls are paper thin, the hotel is huge and characterless, it's far from the...
