We had upgraded to a superior room before arriving after reading reviews. The superior rooms are all on the top floor and I couldn't fault it at all. It didn't cost that much to upgrade and I think it was money well spent. Perfectly clean, modern shower room, tv, fridge, kettle. Comfortable beds and fantastic views across the water to... More

The hotel was conveniently located and staffed by a very helpful and friendly staff tram. They made our stay very pleasant...thank you I wouldn't recommend the basic room and the upgrade to comfort was very inexpensive Breakfast wast. Unfelt style and ample. Breakfast starts really early so you can fill up ready for excursions or early flights Would go back... More

I've just returned from a 4 night stay at Hotel Cabin in Reykjavik. I cannot fault this hotel. Its not the fanciest hotel by any means but it's a decent hotel only 15-20 minutes walk from the centre of Reykjavik. I booked the hotel as part of a package deal with Icelandair so I'm not sure exactly what the hotel... More

People on here complain about this hotel, but at the end of the day it is stated as a 2* hotel, and you get what you pay for. This was an inexpensive hotel, yes the rooms are small, but how long do you actually spend in them when not asleep? We stayed here last weekend, I had a brilliant time.... More

i stayed at the hotel cabin over the weekend and loved it!! i had read other reviews of the hotel so knew to expect small rooms, but it was an ideal size. nice bathroom with decent sized shower. just a tip, the water comes out cold but turns really really hot quickly (be careful) its about 15/20mins walk away from... I stayed one night at Hotel Cabin, Reykjavic in January 2014. It was paid for by Air Iceland, as my late night flight to Greenland had been cancelled due to bad weather. So all 12 passengers were accommodated in the city, including me. The hotel seems to be in a good location. I stayed at the Royal Hotel, Reykjavic a... More

If you can stay more than one night in a line ship's cabin then this hotel is for you. We stayed there for a night and fortunatelly there was available a deluxe room (highly recommended). The cost for this upgrade is reasonable(20 euro/night). The deluxe rooms are very comfortable with fridge, many storage spaces but unfortunately no wi-fi... The breakfast... More

We stayed here as part of a special package through Icelandic Air. Hard to be choosy about accomodations when you are only paying 300 Euros for a roundtrip flight and three nights in a hotel! Rooms were clean and breakfast was adequate. Although breakfast is usually served from 6-10, they still served a large group leaving at 4:30. I think... More

It is what it is. I gave 4 star because this was an honest Hotel with friendly staff and a clean Hotel. Standard rooms are small with limited space to put your clothes. No drawers and just hanging space for a few items. In fact it was smaller than our friends inside cabin on a recent cruise! There was a... More

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Cabin for 3 nights as part of an Icelandair package. It is a large hotel with a nicely presented reception area. The rooms are very small, two single beds with a small desk between and a small wardrobe with 3 coat hangers (storage space for clothes and suitcases is incredibly tight). The... More
