An excellent visit to Reykjavik and enjoyed the Travel Inn where we met very pleasant and helpful staff, all went well until we met who we believe to be the owner on the morning that we were leaving. We came downstairs with our cases at about 7.50AM which I put down in order to hand him the room keys, he...

I stayed at this hotel for a night in August 2016. I chose this hotel in spite of its bad reviews, because I booked the room one week prior to the trip and didn’t have any other options with a central location in Reykjavik. The problems started when I was back to France after the trip. When opening my online...

We ended up having to book a night in this hotel at the last minute when the place we were due to stay lost hot water due to a plumbing problem (I know! In Iceland 😆) I booked without reading the reviews, it was only when waiting outside to be let in - about a 10 min wait for the...

Stayed for 6 nights- Nice place, clean, warm, good breakfast, friendly staff, close to BSI and about 10 minutes walk to city center. I think the place is lovely, and will stay definitely stay here again next time. (I'm a solo female traveler) hope this helps.

I was traveling with a female friend. We are both in our 60's. I was very pleased with everything even though we had to change rooms a couple times. The breakfast was hearty. the proprietor was very entertaining. It was quiet and great setting and location.

I was very uncomfortable with how the owner was drunk and touchie. I was worried for my safety at night bc of him. Avoided being at guesthouse as much as possible. It was clean enough. Breakfast was decent. More like a youth hostel.

This August 2016, my wife and I had a humiliating and frightening experience at the Travel Inn. We want to encourage others to avoid it. Our story is that upon arriving in the city, it was one of the few guesthouses with rooms available. Online we paid for two nights. Upon arriving we met an agent (that luckily another party...

Was made wait at front entrance of dingy house while waiting for somebody to check us in. Finally arrived after 15 minutes was stinking drunk but seemed friendly but imposing. Girlfriend was frightened considered sleeping in car but talked her round. Room was fine. Creepy crawlies always managed to find their way in. Two days after we arrived drunken manager...

Not really sure how to describe this guesthouse but I would suggest that it is not for the faint hearted! - It was cheap, but on balance not cheap enough. To be fair it is very convenient location for an early bus out of Reyke bus station

The guest house does not look attractive from the road. The entrance is at the back which looks even worse, see picture. The manager does not live in the building therefore when you get there you need to phone him as per the note posted on the back door. He was neither a welcoming nor a helpful person. We found...
