I stayed one night at Hotel Leifur Eiriksson. I chose it because it was a reasonable price, moderately-well recommended, located in the middle of everything, and the tour companies I hired for my one-day exploration both pick people up right at the hotel.
Stayed here on a three night break on a package with Icelandair. Total package was very reasonable. Hotel staff very friendly & extremely helpful. Our room was in the annexe and was large, bright & very clean with a spectacular view of the Church. Slightly...More
Basic but good value This was arranged as part of an Iceland Air three day Spring Break so didn't know what to expect Total package was very reasonable. Hotel staff very friendly. Arrived late at 2:00am and the one guy on duty was very helpful...More
Chose this hotel because of its proximity to a lot of downtown Reykjavik that we wanted to be near. Location is indeed good. Lobby area & cafe area are nice, but our room was very outdated, sparse & only marginally clean. Carpet was ratty &...More

Great location just in front of Hallgrimskirkja. Rooms and bathrooms are a bit small. Breakfast was just average, and the only hot option was "make your own" waffles. The hotel is ok for short stay. Wifi was useless. If you just need a bed and...More

Hello, I stayed in Reykjavik in November, 2013 and just got back from staying here in August, 2017. The coldest it got in November when I stayed was about the high during the day 51 degrees and about 31 degrees at night. The weather changes there so fast, it could be snowing one minute, then the sun comes out like it never snowed the next minute. The sun rises about 10:30 am and sets around 6:00 pm. The best thing to do is dress in layers. You'll have a great chance of seeing the "Northern Lights" this time of year. But I recommend planning on seeing them at the beginning of your trip in case the weather is not good and they cancel it for that night. In this event, they will move the Northern Lights tour to the next night, which is what happen to us and luckly we had one more night left. If you wait until your last night, you will loose out. It was amazing to see. This past trip I went to the "Ice Cave Glaciers". That is also amazing to see and a must do!

Hi, I don't know if you've already got this sorted but you can book transport when you book your visit to the Blue Lagoon. It costs about the same as it would by arranging your own transport and is really straight forward. They pick up from most hotels so the transfer is pretty direct. I hope this helps and you have a fabulous trip!
