Good location and clean hotel, but at about USD500 a night for a junior suite it was disappointing. Room was small not a suite at all,no bottles of water in the room no mini bar even. Street lights disturb sleep as they have on blinds on the windows not black out curtains. Twice had to ask for our room to be...

Dear Trotter321, Thank you for taking your time to write review about IH Reykjavik Marina. We are very sorry that you felt your room was overpriced, however, we are in the peak of tourist season in Reykjavik, not to mention the various concerts, conferences and other events that are taking place, so hotel rates are higher across the city. It is...

The Marina is a bit like Marmite, you will either like its odd position next to the ship repair yard; its spartan rooms; its very expensive bar and the crazy breakfast room. Or you will appreciate, great room service; excellent reception staff; close to down town city restaurants and the view over the mountains! It is NOT cheap, but then...

Location: Nice location by the Reykjavik Marina! Walking distance from downtown Reykjavik, close enough but away from the crowds and plenty of restaurants/excellent coffee shop right outside. Staff: Very nice and helpful. Also very accommodating! Booked my hotel on Expedia and it was non-refundable. Needed to change the dates last minute and Expedia would not let me change it. When...

I stayed here a couple of times in a week either side of an expedition around the country. I found it warm, friendly, comfortable, clean and quirky with ammusing exhibits scattered around the hotel and interesting art in the rooms. I loved it. I had a meal in the bar one evening as it was so busy in the restaurant...

Don't let the outside of this hotel trick you. It used to be a paint factory so doesn't look appealing. It is also on a working Marina so depends if you like that look or not. However as soon as you walk inside it is completely different! A well themed design with a nice fire in the middle and friendly...

The hotel was full of musicians when we arrived & we did wonder just how noisy it would be during the evening. It's a popular place to enjoy a drink by what we saw & the cafe sells good coffee & light bites (Had a fantastic Mocha too). The staff are polite & willing to help you. The rooms look...

We stayed for 5 nights and we were pleased with our choice of hotel. We'd booked a deluxe room, which wasn't particularly spacious, but It was clean and the bathroom was large. Loved the L'occataine products. When we checked in, I wasn't advised that deluxe room key holders enjoy a nightly social hour from 6-7pm. Luckily I had noticed this...

I stayed for three nights with my wife, and spent a lot of time deciding which hotel to book in Reykjavik, and after staying at the Marina think we made a good choice. Location isn't in the heart of the downtown area but we were able to walk to downtown within 5 ish minutes so no big deal there. We had rented a car and did not have to pay for parking as there was plenty behind the hotel. The outside of the hotel may look misleading, but once you step in there...
