This is a great hotel in a central part of the city. The staff we very friendly and helpful. The room was small, but very clean and comfortable. We didn't stay for breakfast, but there was a communal kitchen for us to make tea and coffee. I would certainly stay here again.

The Hotel Gardur finds itself somewhere between a hotel and a hostel, and going into it knowing that you won't be disappointed. The room seemed to have been decorated recently as did the shared bathrooms and shower facilities (there are private cubicles though!). The self catering kitchens available seem well equipped and very clean. Breakfast is served for a good...

It was clean and nothing really wrong with the accommodation. The lady at the reception was nice and the reception was open 24/24 which was helpful in our case - coming late and flying out very early. The room is very small and shabby. The toilets with bathrooms are shared at the end of the corridor with rooms. The Internet...

A descent hotel with beds on the very soft side. Quiet much nice from the hallway. Clean rooms. Close to BSI/Flybus terminal, a 10 in walk, and the domestic airport. 10 min walk to the city centre and 10 min walk to the famous church.

The Hotel Gardur was reasonable and convenient. It is a university dorm but is clean and modern. The stay included breakfast in a lovely dining room area. Free parking was available. Bars and restaurants are just a short walk across the park. It should be noted that the bathrooms and showers are shared (separate male and female). Overall it exceeded...

Stayed at this hotel prior to starting a trek. The room was clean and the facilities include the use of a communal kitchen which we made use of. Breakfast was included in the price and more than adequate. The hotel is situated about a five minute walk from the BSI bus terminal and ten minutes from the city centre. We...

It was all right if you come with your best friends, which will remind you university time, but I won't call it hotel. Comparing with the price, it is not cheap, we paid nearly £140 for it. And the heating doesn't work for whole night. However the shared bathroom is quite clean and breakfast can feed you up. Location is...

90 USD for a comfortable one-person room that included a sink and wardrobe and view, with shared WC/bathroom and kitchen facilities. Breakfast was excellent (also for vegans and vegetarians). The hotel is located near the central park and lake and next to the museum. Ten minute walk from downtown and from the bus station where the airport buses (Fly Bus)...

Stayed for two nights. The location is very good, you can have amazing walks around the lake and the city center is only 5-10 minutes by foot. Breakfast is exquisite and very tasty with a wide variety to choose from. We literally ate for 30 minutes and then we ate again after 12 hours. The shared WC is not a...

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Gardur 21-23 Aug 2015. The Reykjavik Marathon and Culture Festival were that same weekend and were held downtown in the middle of the city. Hotel Gardur was centrally located with only about a 10 minute walk around a beautiful pond to get there. The hotel is usually used as a dormitory so the...
