Never answered the phone, responded to emails or sent entry details to access the apartment. I can’t review the actual location because we cannot get into the bloody place. The one time someone answered the phone, they indicated we would be emailed details, but we never were sent the information.

A clean well equipped apartment. We were here for 1 night and it was well positioned for looking around Reykjavik. Not sure I would call it luxurious but it suited our 1 night stay and the beds were very comfortable There is on street parking via a meter.

A truly soulless apartment that felt like it had been designed for, and perhaps even by, a recently divorced traveling salesman. In a country know for its ‘hygge’ design this place was as sterile as a hospital ward. In a busy market of dedicated ‘super hosts’ this was as impersonal an experience as might be imagined. It seems that a bedside table, a few sidelights here and there, some non-generic pictures, a couple of welcoming teabags, and an emptied dishwasher, are no longer needed to meet the “luxury” benchmark. And as for parking, ice making, a washing machine or dryer, a radio, a made-up sofa bed (when we had flagged we needed to use it)… forget it. The good news though is that there is a clear set of laminated instructions to greet you in the entrance hall setting out all the things you should and should not do. At the foot of the ’house rules’ the owners note two things - that (i) they also own the Blue Car Hire company, and (ii) the place only recently opened and feedback is welcomed. So, in this spirit, I would note the following: firstly hiring Dacia Dusters is different to renting ‘luxury’ apartments. The former requires anonymous efficiency (and having rented our car from Blue I can only praise their ability in this regard - it was super slick and eminently affordable). The latter, however, requires intimacy and personality - the more so at the price point being charged (this was our most expensive stay). Before the ‘meh’ reviews mount I suggest Blue ask a designer to turn the apartment into something guests want to be in rather than a place they have paid to sleep in - today’s market demands it, especially for a modestly discerning audience that is attuned to the sophisticated aesthetic and warm welcome that Iceland affords. It doesn’t need much - we are talking soft furnishings combined with a keen eye, an ounce of thought, and a personal touch (welcome packs work wonders). But Blue needs someone who knows about room hire not car hire. And fast.

The appartments locations is great, easy to find and a short walk to tourist attractions. Very clean and everything you need. There were 4 of us in a 2 bed apartment which gave enough space for us all. The beds were comfy with good bed linen. Would definitely suggest staying here and would return in future.

Apartment was very clean, with all amenities, fully stocked kitchen appliances and comfortable. Tv and WiFi worked great, very spacious (two bedrooms), with very clean sheets and comforters, and beds were comfortable too. Very modern. It was on a quiet residential street, and still within 10 min of walk to downtown. The owners were very very nice to let us check in almost 4 hours prior to the check in time, which really helped us a lot! We were jet lagged and tired from a red-eye flight, this helped us crash and sleep early in the day. The reason for one less star is more of a suggestion than anything negative: It was very noisy in the night since the bedrooms were facing the street, hence couldn’t sleep well to break the jet lag. We only realized while we were loading the car while checking out that the upper windows in the bedrooms were left open. Suggest the owner to either keep it closed (not sure about the ventilation though) or atleast apprise the guests about it. Secondly, a minor thing, the soap dispenser in the bathroom was outside the shower curtains, making it a bit awkward to get it each time. Suggest to move it inside. Otherwise, great place, and would surely recommend.

Fabulous apartment. Large living/kitchen are which was fully equipped. Teens made up with ‘all the tv channels and wifi’. Lovely and clean, not a speck of dust. Easy check in with instructions from owners. Literally the comfiest king size bed I’ve ever slept in! Location is great. 5-10 mins to bus station where all the excursions depart from. Easy, pretty walk to the cathedral, town centre and small supermarket. Soundproofing is not great, constant dragging of chair from people above and woke us at 2am the second night with a very loud telephone call but soon drifted back to sleep in the luxury bed. Would love to return but would choose a top floor apartment.
