My husband and I camped around Iceland for 2 weeks and this was our favourite site. The road isn't that bad - and its totally worth it anyway. Bring food to bbq - use their bbq's and have dinner in the cave. Great hiking trails.

Hey, we just sent an e-mail to Helga@thakgil.is and requested to book a cabin there. We stayed there in September 2015, not sure if the contact is the same.
