Stayed in Dyrholaey hotel in April 2017.
1/ We booked by mistake two rooms but actually needed three. The third rooms was granted to us free of charge due to the hotel low occupancy but the reception warned us there was a carpeting problem...More
we stayed here for 1 night while travelling around the ring road. it is located on top of a large hill, but not too hard to get to-just look for the sign. we stayed in the newer section of the hotel...they keep adding on sections....More
Hotel was ok, rooms are simple and clean, and there was shampoo and conditionner bottles in the room. The restaurant has a magnificient view from the top of the mountain and the food was DELICIOUS and the service was excellent. Breakfast was ok but lacking...More
Hotel wad nice but rooms small and carpet in them. Better cable channels than other hotels we stayed at. Breakfast was good and lots of choices. Hotels outside of Reykjavik don't provide washcloths glad I packed some.

we had dinner at hotel after long day and to tired to go anywhere else. The food was good but very pricey for what you get. We spent 100 dollars for each of us to have bowl soup with bread. 1 chicken entree and 1 vegetables entree. I wish we had gone some where else to eat for that price.
During are meal a bus school trip showed up and quite dining room was filled with 24 chatting teenagers that were hungry and took all staff to get them there food good thing we already had ours.
