Only stayed the one night whilst touring around but view overlooking church and the sea was fantastic. In quiet area, although most of town quiet so wouldn't have been an issue. Room quite spacious and beds comfy. Could access wifi but TV hopeless, couldn't get basic english service for news except with focus on China etc, very few channels at...

When we arrived (it is still very wintery!) it looked deserted, but fortunately there were staff there! Very nice welcome. Room adequate for our needs with shower etc. Nice outlook. Very nice breakfast with very good choice of different foods. Staff very helpful as the car was filthy at the back and needed number plates lights etc washed. They provided...

We stayed at Hotel Stykkisholmur for two nights in March. The room was comfortable and clean. Good beds and flat screen tv. Bathroom was fine, heated towel racks were a bonus, shower only covered around one side so sprayed a bit of water on floor and toilet which seems to be common in Iceland. We were on the third floor...

Nothing special, normal european hotel. Clean, comfortable rooms, even for three persons, good bathrooms, with all facilities, free wifi, parking, nice tasty breakfast, but overall cold and unfamiliar.

We stayed for one night while traversing the Ring Road. Our room was small, but modern and clean with a view of the bay. The hotel is just a short walk from town. While visiting Stykkisholmur be sure to take the Viking Sushi Tour!

Rooms are a bit small, but views from the bay-side of the hotel are quite nice. Staff were straightforward but helpful. It was a good base from which to explore the nearby area. Restaurant was basic but good...good place to stay.

Hotel Stykkisholmur is well appointed, clean, has a fabulous staff, very cooperative. They called to tell us the northern lights were coming up-a real thrill. However, the walls are paper thin. First the room on our right had the TV on so loud it was like listening to it in our room. The desk called them and they turned it...

Stykkisholmur is a quaint little town on the north side of the Snaefellsness penninsula on the western side of Iceland. A scene in the Movie "Secret Life of Walter Mitty" was filmed here by the little harbor. We were at the end of tourist season (last of September), so the Hring Hotel had rooms with no reservation needed and we...

This hotel is located on the hill overlooking the area so that it gives a pretty good view. Room and the bathroom were just ok but too small for the room rate we paid compared to other hotels we stayed in Iceland. Breakfast was simple but good enough. It is ok overall if you don't expect too much when you...

We stayed here one night as part of our escorted Iceland tour. This hotel located on a small hill in a quiet residential neighborhood. The main building looked like a factory compound from a distance. Our group were assigned rooms down the hill in an apartment complex. We had to walk up the hill to the main building for both...
