Overall, this is a pretty average place. Exceptions are that the wine pours were generous, the hotel is quiet and the wi-fi was free. When I checked in, the bellman delivered my luggage and I saw that the handle was broken off. "Oh", I exclaimed, "the handle is broken!" He looked at me blandly. I said, "Well, it wasn't broken...

Overlooks the town and the harbor, both of which are within easy walking distance. Small, quainter than some of the bigger hotels you find in Iceland, such as the Hilton in Reykjavik, which is nice. Good spread for breakfast.

With few options that are reasonably priced, we opted to stay here. This is a hotel that caters to tour large tour groups. The location is okay and is near to the marina by car where the ferry to the Westfjords operates. The rooms are very small as compared to the rooms throughout the rest of our trip. Tiny shower...

Stayed here for 2 nights on a fishing trip. The hotel is comfortable and the reception staff were very friendly. The breakfast was good with nice coffee. The dining room can be rather busy if there is a coach party in. Lovely views over the town and the fjord.

We stayed at the hotel for just one night but we enjoyed our stay. The hotel is modern and the room was fairly spacious with a view overlooking the sea and mountains in the distance. Our breakfast had some excellent choices and nice coffee. The triple room was suited for 3 people. We enjoyed walking around the harbor although most...

We usually avoid these large tour group hotels, this is that kind of hotel but slim choices in the area. we stayed one night two rooms for a family of 5. rooms were nice, groups were around, breakfast was good. used this as a base for the morning fairy. some rooms have nice views to the golf course and scenery....

This was one of the more expensive hotels we stayed in during our 2 1/2 weeks in Iceland - and by far the worse of any place we stayed. First off - it was very noisy - in fact we called to the lobby after midnight on our second night - and the indifferent staff member told us it would...

If you're not part of a tour group, you might want to consider one of the other hotels in town. The Stykkisholmur is a large hotel, and from what we could see, caters primarily to tour groups. Our first night there, the dining room was packed with tourists from two large tour buses, our much smaller tour group, and what...

Stayed at this hotel for a night after visiting Rekyjavik; The location is excellent with a 10 minute walk to the harbor. The staff was very friendly and helpful. However, the hotel had numerous tour groups which made breakfast somewhat crowded. The room was standard hotel fare, the bed was comfortable, but it could use a remodel. For those looking...

Very friendly staff, expensive bar as is most of Iceland. Located close enough to walk to town or a grocery shop for a few necessities. The dinners were fine, not complicated but tasty whilst the breakfasts were OK though an omelette bar would be a big improvement.
