For the most discerning traveller. Luxurious, faultless and friendly. Absolute first class experience. Don't even consider staying elsewhere. An architectural masterpiece (atop a peaceful and panoramic hilltop) with welcoming, non intrusive hosts. Five stars just doesn't do this justice.

I needed to find somewhere to stay overnight in Brisbane after picking up my wife who had flown in from 3 months overseas looking after our unwell son. I searched numerous places on both wotif and lastminute before turning to the RACQ Accommodation Guide. Having identified some 20 places which I explored further, I ended up narrowing my list down...

My husband stole me away to Leatherwood Lodge and I was immediately struck with the peaceful, Australian bush surroundings. Then when I walked inside, the gorgeous art works on every wall, filling every nook and cranny were of the highest quality and I was thrilled. As if not enough, the bedroom was impeccably neat, clean and the bed so soft...

Nestled in a lovely bush garden , Leatherwood lodge has stylish rooms with original artwork , the beds are very comfortable and the extra touch of a choice of pillows was much appreciated. Very peaceful and quite, good healthy breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice and great coffee.

I would happily recommend staying at the Leatherwood Lodge, I only stayed for one night but felt very spoilt! Breakfast was wonderful and the owners did everything they could to welcome me. Beautiful country side estate, very relaxing and only a short drive from Brisbane city. If you want peace and quite this is the place! If in Brisbane again...

Welcoming hostess. Beautiful rural, bush setting. Room was very small, but comfortable... with the exception of the bed, which was extremely hard and uncomfortable. Bathroom is outdated and nothing about the furnishings, decor and inclusions, is 5 star luxury (as described on this properties website). The gourmet continental breakfast included in the tariff, is not gourmet... mini boxed cereal, plain...

Thank you for your feedback about your stay at Leatherwood Lodge. We are surprised that you found the queen bed uncomfortable as people consistently tell us how comfortable the beds are. They are the top of the range Sealy beds used in the top hotels. Similarly yours is the first comment about the rooms being too small. Our architect won...

I love the peaceful aura of this Lodge and mine hosts. Brookfield is so central but at the same time in a semi-rural setting. Every year I leave the Sydney winter for my R & R at this wonderful Lodge, and really drag my feet to leave. The weather this year was really exceptional.. Breakfast included a wonderful selection of...

The ambiance of the whole property was so tastefully carried out and ever so relaxing, including the beautiful decor . The bed was...
