We went for the first time to a charity lunch. The menu was limited but thankfully there was something for everyone. The food was delicious and everyone cleaned their plates indicated how good the food was. The staff were very friendly and looked after us well. It is a beautiful place for a special meal. We shall go again. Thank...

This is a wonderfull place. Open fires, intimate feel. It doesn't seem like a commercial venture but rather as though you are staying with friends who happen to own a glorious Jacobean house and I mean that in a positive complimentary way. Photos don't do the glorious feel of the place justice. The food is lavish. Real fine dining with...

I wouldn't normally frequent this type of hotel but an invitation to a special celebration was not to be missed. The Manor is beautifully situated in its own grounds which, no doubt, will be an added attraction during the spring/summer months. Our room was spacious and contained a very large double bed which we later found to be extremely comfortable....

We stayed in this hotel as it was a good base for visiting he Christmas garland at the Cotehele National Trust property just over the border in Cornwall. The atmosphere was very welcoming and we were shown to our room on he first floor past an enormous Christmas Tree in the reception area. We had dinner at the hotel for two...

Stayed here the 14th and 15th of February for our 20th wedding anniversary and it was heaven. The food was excellent for dinner and breakfast and all the staff were very good in all departments. The walks around the grounds and popping in to the local church and learning some local history was good as well. So a big thank...

My husband and I have stayed at Lewtrenchard Manor twice now. We go for Valentines weekend and we stay in the little gate house that is slightly detached from the main building. Needless to say it's not the cheapest place that you can stay, but it is so worth the visit. The staff and the owners are extremely friendly, the...

OK we're biased. We had our civil partnership here 10 years ago and ever since have been back now and then to recharge our batteries. The staff and owners are so friendly and make the place seem special. The smell of wood fires and creaky floorboards add to the feeling of being in an old, well loved house dipped in...

NOT a luxury Hotel at all. Dirty container for the fresh milk. Complained and brought fresh milk back IN THE DIRTY FLASK???? Same menu across the nights. Clearly focussed on One Night Stays. Lack of atmosphere. Definitely NOT FOR FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN. Pretentious but with no reason. Food was very disappointing and on 2 of the 3 nights the beef...

Attractive building in lovely grounds, set in unspoilt countryside. We stayed in the St Gertrude suite, off a grandly decorated first floor gallery. Very comfortable, lovely period decor. Food excellent, service at table was of the highest order. All hotel staff extremely willing and helpful. We could not have done better for our special weekend, celebrating a birthday and our...
