Friendly atmosphere in comfortable old fashioned surroundings. Good country walks. Two criticisms: Firstly, the choice of starters and desserts on the dinner menu did not change from night to night. Secondly, upon arrival, our room "Prince Rupert", had several dead flies on the window ledge and on the floor. These were cleared away immediately when we drew attention to them.... More

Following a previous visit when we enjoyed afternoon tea, my wife and I decided that as our 25th wedding anniversary was coming we would book to stay 2 nights. As we wanted to book during November we were lucky enough to qualify for a special offer, price wise and offered the Price Rupert room with a King size bed and... More

This hotel is fantastic. The grounds are a delight. The food was superb. The service was excellent. Our room was well equipped, spacious and comfortable, with the added bonus of fresh tea delivered to our room in the morning. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed for three nights in October 2016. The hotel is an old country house and contains many old artifacts and furnishings. every wall is covered in old oil portraits which give a bit of a depressing feel but the staff are very friendly and helpful which relieves the sepulchral air a bit although the formal dining room lacks atmosphere... We stayed at Lewtrenchard Manor for five nights and loved everything about it. Our room was lovely and had a great view. The Manor is beautifully appointed and the service was exceptional. Fires were set in each of the sitting rooms every afternoon/evening and the breakfast and dinner service was delightful.

Stayed for 1 night on route to Padstow. Lovely room, comfortable surroundings and a really lovely menu executed suberbly. Worth a visit just for the food. Staff all very friendly and helpful and we would definitely stay again if in the area.

I had been looking around for somewhere to have a quick break away. This place looked lovely and was in a perfect location. It more than exceeded expectations. All the staff were incredibly helpful, the room wonderful and the food stunning. I do not eat fish and this was taken into account even for the chef's pre starter, which very... More

There's not much to add to all the good things said about Lewtrenchard Manor that I haven't said before. We come back each year for our wedding anniversary and certainly, since the Murrays returned, - the rooms, service, food and drink are always of a high standard and the ambiance quiet and relaxing - quiet is good - no background... We enjoyed a very memorable overnight stay at Lewtrenchard Manor. We had hoped for something special and the venue, staff and food exceeded this. We received a very warm welcome, enjoyed a relaxing evening/meal with wonderful food in one of their many beautiful rooms. We stayed in the Aurelia room, which was more like a suite with an amazing bathroom.... More

We had the great joy of spending 2 nights in this wonderful place. The building is spectacular, pseudo-jacobean (lots of dark panelling) mixed with gothic architecture. Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. They certainly changed the towels each day and we thought twice a day even! The staff were uniformly pleasant and cheery with beaming, sincere smiles. The... More
