This is a great place for a stopover. The rooms, bathrooms and surrounding areas are sparkly clean, functional and the bedding gorgeous and inviting ! Wifi works mainly in the main restaurant area. The dinners and breakfasts are great and the surroundings like a small oasis. All the staff members (without exception !) and manager are extremely friendly and helpful....

WE stayed there only one day.... I liked that there not so much people involved in managing the place. It is simple, pure and very organized. I liked the atmosphere - owners speak Afrikaans, English, may be German... everywhere some little thing decorating and making place cozy and same time modern, fresh. That place (as many places down on the...

On our way from Namibia to the Cape and back we have stayed already several times at this friendly place. It is located close to the main road, but far enough away to have a relaxing break. A nice walk down to the river to stretch the legs is also possible. This guesthouse is highly recommendable! Never a disappointment. Always...

I could say Noordoewer was a nice place for an overnight if travelling north or south Namibia. Spacious room with a combined shower and toilet is decorated with some local flavours. There is a bar and restaurant facilities for a dinner and breakfast (breakfast is included in charges for your room). Reasonable meal and very accommodative crew leaded by a...

We stayed over on the way back to South Africa and after a long day on the road walked into this green oasis. The staff were friendly, efficient and well trained. The overnight rooms are well designed and well equipped. We had dinner, a three course meal, portions are big. Again we were impressed by the service levels. The wine...

Frequent Visitor at the Noordoewer Guesthouse, Being a student in Stellenbosch, I do the trip from to and from Windhoek quite frequently Discovered this place through family friends in 2013 and have been overnighting here ever since. Despite the sweltering heat outside, rooms are always nice and cool as you enter them, and there is a lovely fragrance within the...

The Noordoewer guesthouse is well placed for a stop over having left Cape Town earlier in the day. After the day's drive and, having cleared the border formalities, the guesthouse beckons with a cool pool, and even cooler selection of lagers. The rooms are comfy, although the toilets are the 'modern' style of being only behind a partition with no...

This review is based on a 12 day Namibian road trip in Jan/Feb, staying at 7 properties. I stayed one night. It's simple, this guest house is in the ideal spot prior to the SA border at perhaps the end of a long drive either North or South. Don't be fooled by the appearance from the road, once inside the...
