If you're looking for a comfortable, affordable, rural getaway where you can just unwind and forget about the daily grind, the Wild Goose Lodge is the perfect place. Located at the end of a 'no through road', it's peaceful and relaxing. The staff are friendly (and a little quirky) and there's a great welcome from everyone concerned. The facilities are...

Great no frills place to stay. Comfortable bed, clean facilities and a cosy lounge with wood burner. Great value for money. large clean self catering kitchen at your disposal to keep the costs down. Charmaine gave us a warm welcome to this great place to stay in a beautiful part of the country close to the wetlands and wildlife centre.

My husband and I booked in for 2 nights as we were going to see the Bewick's Swans up at Slimbridge. Charmaine the manager was very helpful and friendly throughout our stay and made a gorgeous cooked breakfast - just the thing for a day's birdwatching! The hostel was spotless, the bed lovely and comfy and nice and warm (much...

My wife and I held our wedding reception at Wild Goose Lodge. Charmaine, the owner, was very helpful and left us to our own devices as much as we wanted. The bedrooms were beautiful, and Charmaine even decorated our room with rose petals and towel swans which was such a thoughtful extra. The rooms downstairs (dinning room, games room, lounge,...

I had been staying in a YH which was to far from where I was planning to visit so I detoured with the help of the YH to Slimbridge . Initially there were problems after the YHA had not transferred my payment but the manager here was very helpful, upgraded my room and it worked out very well. She was...

Initially my wife and I weren't sure whether to stay here or at the local pub down the road, but luckily we chose Wild Goose Lodge for our B&B, it turning out to be a good choice as it was well away from the noise of the many cars on their way to visit the WWT Wetland Centre, whilst still...

We stayed at Wild Goose Lodge when we came to visit the Wild Fowl Center just down the road from the lodge. We enjoyed our stay. The entire facility is spic and span, great cotton sheets and comfortable bed. We don't usually stay in place that has a shared bath, but the spaces were actually very private and modern. Breakfast...

We are 7 families and struggle to find a suitable venue to accommodate us for our annual gathering, that is affordable, safe and fairly central for us all. This year we tried Wild Goose Lodge for the first time. It is functional, but modern and comfortable, so the children (aged 4-14) could play freely, indoors and out, without fear of...
